I have just rec an Hitachi 47DH drive and have commenced work on the Firmware. I will post again when completed. Hang in there Hitachi owners it shouldn't take too long.

Man you are crazy lol most of the hackers do not want to release 1 firmware let alone 2. M$ is really going to love you lmfao. You are going to be on their most wanted list. Joking aside it is good to see someone stick it to the M$ man. I am not a hacker but it seems to me that other than the challenge of getting around someone elses code a big part of hacking has been to show big corporations that they cannot lock down knowledge and freedom to do whatever we want with our possesions in encryptions and drm. More power to you!!!

Just a quick question.. for flashing any kind of firmware to these Hitachi drivers, does it uses the same program as the sammies?? Just trying to figure what kinda hardware will it be required (chipset on sata controller and such) Thanks and keep up the great work u have accomplished commadore.. |

the samsung flasher only works, as the name says, with MTK chipsets. a different tool is needed.

very cool  can't wait, too bad we don't have an easy way for dual firmware mod because of ms epoxy deal. hopefully with this hack and the dual fw mod i'll finally get started on modding mine as i value my 1yr xbox live membership. |
