1  Research & Technical XboxHacking (Xbox 360) / DVD-ROM Drive and Media / Re: 16D5S replacement kit on: March 13, 2013, 01:18:11 AM
A source from team Matrix said they would be releasing proprietary fw to be used on a regular freedom replacement board (1339  on ext. spi). Seems feasible.
Those 1175 are an easy mt replacement as well, no glue stuff.
Question is how to be sure you are not just buying a locked chip, the sellers on Ali-Express are kind of leaving it in a "gray area" so to speak.
One even said "removed from DG16D5S 1175 board".

Is there any reliable source for those  Huh
Lol Big lamer Matrix ahahahah im remeber the video out about d5s play bakup !!! AWESOME  Grin Grin

They doesnt have cfw, i think that is just to sell their pcb.
Lol They doesnt able to create cfw....... and not seel pcb whit 1339 !!! im never see some cfw from other grp

Your an idiot - you have to select 128 from the drop down not type it in.  I've used this device and I will never use another p.o.s flashing device again.  The speed's destroy that of the infectus and teensy.  Time is money.  I don't want to have to use a Teensy and dump my nand over night only to wake up in the morning and see its not even done yet.  You are ignorant and are crying for attention.  The software does say BETA in the top corner does it not?  Patience and a good attitude get you a long way.  Im no expert, I shouldn't even have an account on these forums but I can confirm that is product is top shelf next to all the open source crap thats out there.  Select 128 from the list rather than typing it in manually and if the drop down buttons are "too small" just use your keyboard.  This would have been the first logical step in troubleshooting for anyone with a brain.

[EDIT]

And it looks like I stumbled across your ignorance in the official forum.  http://www.progskeet.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=35  This goes to show your are not someone who own a device like this.  And the best part is you got a SAMPLE COPY for FREE!  Give me a break.  damox said it best "The ProgSkeet is a tool for DEVELOPERS - it was never marketed to noobs or the like."

Lol and where is the news? Grin ;awesome lamers  100%

Supposing this statement is true, you tried the wrong way 6 months ago without proper software and/or method and you failed...

Spent some time with Maximus over the mx and wb flashes, while the mx is a piece of cake, the WB is a bitch.
There were at least 3 solutions for WB, some more risky, this is less risky one, even if it's not noob friendly.
It's even not so much techical in comparison to the others one that had few success rate, or against the ones that had lot of effort and got no result.
There are also other possibilities for a software only way, but it's like going blindly searching for a fantomatic "winbond manufacturer mode" (how the hell do they write the serial numb in there? there must be a way), but actually i'm getting lazy.

C4eva respect and others, however, like an opinion from Geremia over whether it is possible to actually own writing in 0225
Sorry no Geremia,no Maximus,no Jesus able to write this  Grin Grin Grin

Soft soundtrack for cooling a bit, ok?

Btw, since fw out here have some small differences, prior to go erasing and writing, would be usefull to have fulldump (0225,0225u,0401,xxxx+) ... if you have an app/device that can do it o.c.

As usual, use at your own risk, i don't care. Hate it or love it, i don't care.

Special thanks to Maximus for cooperating and for supplying test ICs.

my thoght is that to lift the pin is like to cut the wire from inside exept if the WP it is not going straight to a pin but go to another part of the ic .. can anyone confirm that ?
if you lift the pin is really impossible cut only 1 whire you not know the dept and again the wire is 25 μm impossible cut only this, inside u hawe a lot of other whire to go mt .....really really really small (or invisible whitout microscope)

The wp wire is on the left, and you can see the solder.
I do not have a bondering machine and never said that.
Do you want a video with locking and unlocking steps?

lol im not need video to unlock or lock im tell you this your work no need to ulock spi winbond  Grin Grin Grin soon you see of unlock it whitout acid  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Hi,
With acid, in a mt1335, i disconnected the wp wire from gnd and wired it to vcc.
I was able to unlock the winbond spi and now i would like to relock it.
I'm wondering if it is possible to modify the russian tool to send the lock cdb?
Regards

which acid did u used, and can u give detail picture of wp wire that need to be cut? if u can pls post high resolution pics and acid that u used.

Will like to try this, and what can i use to secure wires after decaping with acid ? is it ok to use hotglue to secure the pit that is opened with acid?
I don't remember if it is nitric or sulfuric, i'll have a look on the label.
For pictures, i'll do my best, but i only have a 20x magnifier.
The wire i disconnected is the longest one, which we can see on geremia's picture.
I glued a thin wire on the chip and soldered it on the wp wire.
Be careful, acid is highly dangerous and soldering very hard.
On another mt1335 chip, i disconnected wp from gnd and tried the russian tool with an adjustable resistor.
At 1.9 ohms, i was able to unlock the winbond spi.
What i did not understood, is that when i flashed with lt firmware, it was locked again. Backups were working fine.
At this time, i thought that JF relocked the spi, but with the chip unlocked by wiring wp to vcc, it is different.
Saddly, i do not have this drive anymore (used for flash).
Lol bonx you decapeed  (and not know the acid?)and soldered inside?HuhHuh? i think you never see 1 decapped, and im sure you not hawe a machine whirebonding for soldering

Gold Whire is 25 micron and see now at 35x

What if we could use RF/EMR to erase? (yes I know, it's pretty out there, Just bouncing ideas .. ;-) Or does the register have to be specific to stop if defaulting to WP?..

Does anyone have a full 0225 dump I could look at? (Via card aint cutting it, and I don't see how a USB peripheral would be usefull ..)

BTW: (And I've been trying to avoid commenting on this, but: In those 'proof' videos ppl don't seem to make mention of the fact they never show the AV leads going to the monitor!)
just few ppl hawe full dump.... for keep full dump need to write sector.
and you know not possible writing it.... and not possible keep full dump in classic method Tongue
