Xbox 360 / XboxHacking - General / Re: WXRipper Question
|
on: February 04, 2007, 05:09:35 AM
|
I just read a few tutorials and I am trying to backup Fight Night Round 3. I am using the DVD Hitch which is 7.98 GB and when I use WXRipper I have to go back and change those first 3 lines to D's as instructed because I keep getting the "Cyclic" errors @ 0. It seems like a everything copies fine and the output files seems to be the right size (7+ GB). However when I goto SS Merger and select my ISO files I have tried clicking yes and no to the MD5 prompts that come up. When I select yes it freezes, and when I select no and go in and add the SS file from your website but when I click merge the output is a .dvd file thats only 1KB. If you anyone could help me solve this problem, I would really appreciate it.
Thanks, Eric
any reason why your using this method? Just asking as this is an older method and it can be done allot quicker and easier!

Same problem here.
AnyDVD is installed but disable for the SH-D162
Call of Duty 3 D162 drive with Kreon 0.81 XBC 2.3 Build 0185 Error: "Unable To Determine The Current Visible Partition"
Hmm... Its reporting the drive size as 4.0 TB (TeraBytes) - thats a very big size for a DVD
No problems in past with ripping games
I dont think this is a problem XBC, i say this because i have backed this game up with no problems at all. i would look at what programs you may have running in the background! yes me to did my copy of call of duty 3 no problems but any one know the answer to my problems i listed RAMEY151 Take look at this link... you may find what your looking for here. http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=513412Not sure what the rules are for posting links but if its not allowed im sure it will get removed. Also i think when it comes to the end its just telling you that it found errors while perforing the task you asked. just save the data anyways. Hope this helps.

to be honest i have never used the wxripper method, so couldnt really comment.
i thought it may have been just simply due to the fact that the disk is labeled different. never seen any other game labeled this way. Hence why the 2 programs dont see it as a valid 360 game, but i have no proof and i dont really know how the programs were written, so that they can determine what is and whats not a 360 disk in the drive. Maybe some one who reads this can would be able to clear this point up.

To my knowledge Bitsetting is not required for Hitachis either..
Na you do need bit setting on the Hitachies, they wont work if the bit setting is not set correctly. Must be burnt with betsetting on +ROM Took me a few attempt before i realised this No.. with some of the older Xtreme versions Bitsetting was required for me.. I remember burning many coasters until I figured this out.. Now I just burn and everything works.. I believe it's not required.. Well you learn something new everyday. i think im guna have to give that a go. Just out of habbit i've not changed the way i burn them. Nice 1 fella!

Just another question please in your reply below 3.Yes providing you have your key
I am assuming I need to get the key from the new consoles DVD Rom drive whether its a Samsung or Hitachi and then paste this key into my existing samsung drives firmware before putting this drive into the console? thanks Not quite, You need the key from your old drive to use with a particular FW in your new drive, this fools the console into thinking that you havnt replaced the drive at all. Hope that made sence to you. Nah, KiloHurtz was right. If he wants to put the OLD drive in his NEW box he needs to get the key from his NEW drive and put it in the OLD drive. Then he's good to go and replace the drive in his NEW system with his OLD drive. I read that in the wrong order of the drives! lol

Ok after speaking to Redline99 neither of us could work out why this was happening but will let me know if he comes across an answer. Well i have managed to backup the game anyway but i had to use the old method of using:
DVDINFOPRO ISOBUSTER ISOBUILDER
Game works fine.
Hope this helps anyone else who may come across this problem.
Want to see if anyone else had the problem and how they solved it.

i have a SH-D162C Flashed with kreon v0.81. and i am using Backup Creator v2.3 When i am trying to back up my copy of Star Trek Legacy i get the message: "Unable To Determine The Current Visible Partition" disk is clean and new, i have not had any probs with ANY other games and have backed up about 20 now. Have tried to use Schtrom360XtractV3.1 and this tells me: "No Valid Xbox Disk In Drive" Also disk is showing up in the dvd drive as: "XGD2DVD_NTSC" not the standard xbox360 name. This is not an import game either as the original works fine in my console. Any ideas any1, any help would be much appreciated as this is realy doing my nut right in.

Soz Peeps but have i missed something I thought hitachi does have stealth fw available Well thats what i thought i flashed my 47d with, Maximus-Garyopa XTRM-HITACHI v2.2 Stealth 8in1. Did this last week. Before this i had the GaryOPA Xtreme v1.3 7in1. Both worked fine and still do, and by using Xbox Backup Creator 2.3 i have stealth media too. So like i said.... Have i missed something??? You have stealth fw---stealth media involves the firmware being able to pass your stealth media pfi and dmi information to the 360 host, and as of now, only xtreme 3.0 and above for the samsung can do this. Ahhh right, i gotch ya now! nice1 fella

ha haa i like it, i used to work for argos some years ago and i learnt a few tricks and here is one for you, buy a 360 from argos coz if the red lights flash or u get any other problem u can take it back with in the year. They dont check the system it self by switching it on, they just check all the bits and bobs are included. As long as you got ur receipt they will refund you your money! Good old argos. lol
