hey

just wondering which firmware is best to use on a hitachi drive,

2 things i have to take into account

firstly ill be using

Kreon Alternative FW for the Samsung SH-D162C drive v0.8 in order to read the xbox 360 games
and
Xbox Backup Creator v2 Build 0100

in order to read and burn the back ups of my games.

(havnt purchased a dual layer dvdrw yet so any suggestions too wud be muchly apreciated)

i have read that the NME chip will be compatible, but im not to keen on the idea of paying for a chip when the firmware is free??
if i have to pay money i would like to see added benefits such as bigger HDD etc.

im new to all of this so just wondering if u guys can advise me on the best firmware to get.

its from the nme website giving a full Tut on how to get both program and chip to work with each other.  hope this helps some people out.

The work u have done is nothing short of amazing, gj on making it nooby friendly is muchly apreicated

also i havnt been able to test this yet, just ordered my drive.  Also i may sound really noobish here but when u have the firmware changed, can u still play original games on live? or do they have a way to detect it?
