3  Xbox 360 / XboxHacking - General / iXtreme v1.61 FW for Samsung and BenQ Drives on: October 30, 2009, 07:37:45 AM
iXtreme v1.61 FW for Samsung and BenQ Drives

is this official release from c4eva and his crew?

A new version (v1.61) of the iXtreme DVD Firmware for both Samsung and BenQ DVD drives has been released. A Lite-on version is still in development and will be released later (NO ETA).

These were released without any type of readme or NFO, but early user reports claim they work fine like v1.6 with added support for 'Wave 4' discs.

Microsoft Confirms New Xbox 360 Console Banning
>> From majornelson.com:
Quote
I've gotten a few messages and seen some forum threads pop up on console bannings so I thought I'd post and let folks know what's up. In our our continued effort to keep gameplay safe and secure for our community of more than 14 million members, Microsoft has taken action against a small percentage of Xbox 360 consoles that have been illegally modified in order to play pirated games. You should know that modifying your Xbox 360 console is also a violation of the Xbox LIVE terms of use, will void your warranty and result in a ban from Xbox LIVE. The health of the video game business depends on customers paying for the genuine products and services they receive, both from manufacturers and the local companies that support them. We will continue to employ and bolster anti-piracy security measures to counter piracy in the gaming industry and improve security in the Xbox LIVE community.

New Xbox LIVE Ban Wave?
>> Seems like reports on our forums are indicating Microsoft has a new (console) ban wave on Xbox LIVE ...
Right now we don't have a lot of details/information, but if you have a modified DVD firmware we suggest you stay off LIVE for now.

Report your LIVE status (include as many details as possible) on: forums.xbox-scene.com
9  Xbox 360 / XboxHacking - General / Re: Need help with LiteOn on: October 06, 2008, 04:30:59 AM
hi,

Yes you need to cut the power when the tray is closing like you said "Instead you should feed out, feed in and then cut power as it's initiated it's closing procedure, so it thinks it's closed"
And cut the power means remove the white connector with black wires on the dvd-drive (that took me 3 hours to figure out......noob i know)
But then it works like a charm.
You can build the PIC Rs-232 controller just 2 transistors, caps, resistors and a diode works for me.

hi all,

unable to get it work, it keep give me 00000000000 for the key. If i follow the tutorial it says to cut the power when closing the tray. But after the tray is half open and i power on my xbox again it still closes.
it only seems to work when i'm turning on my xbox and then use a paperclip to open the tray, but i think it's given te wrong open/closed status.
please help and tell me how to do it with using the powersupply of the xbox

greetings,

eel.

Nevermind Cry i'm a noob but i got my key Cheesy

you have to read carefully, close the tray and cut the power, tray halfway, turn on xbox without sata and POWERCABLE(dvddrive) and then plug in powercable of dvd . another three hours of my live wasted, aahhhhh nothing compared to the biljoen hours i played halo, also wasted. Undecided
11  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / Re: flashing benq after erase???Help??? on: August 04, 2008, 03:41:17 PM
hi all,

got it working, first i read the firmware with dosflash 16 1.4 automode (via6421a), then i erased it and tried to flash it.but hangs on erasing.........
after trying for a few times, i downloaded dosflash 16 1.3 and flashed, erasing, and flashing all 4 banks works like a charm.oh yeah with the via6421a you got to use the port on the side.next to the ide, not the one in the back and not the one facing the front of your pc......this is with benq......dosflash 32 samsung hitachi works with both inside in windows.

happy flasher,

12  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / flashing benq after erase???Help??? on: August 04, 2008, 06:42:37 AM
hi,

i finally got a dump from my benq with my new via card (6421A).

13  Xbox 360 / XboxHacking - General / Re: Couple quick questions on: September 26, 2007, 02:07:30 AM

14  Xbox 360 / Xbox 360 "Modding" / Re: Heatsink upgrades on: August 21, 2007, 09:54:13 AM
i just used cardboard and indead the dvd drive was alot cooler then without the shroud modification.you need to divide the two fan's in the back, there is so much sucked trough the cpuheatsink.
Had two rrod 360's that i couldn't fix, they kept coming back. With the shroud modifications and the gpu fan on 12v they work great, now problems.the air that flows out of the back is much hotter.so there is more cooling going on.
My only problem with this mod is when you turn it off, with a shroud on the heatsink it is unable to dissipate it's heat.so after a long session of gamen you'll have to set it in his dashboard for a minute or 2 (still 38 degrees).there is a mod on rbjtech site to modify(9v battery  Undecided) your fan's to let them run a little bit longer after you turn off your xbox 360.maybe somebody can figure out a way with a usb device.you'll notice when you leave your usb controller loader in the 360 won't shut off completely.it keep on charging your controller and still let the fan's run. When you pull out the usb loader it will shut down.somebody an idea??usb stick with a 555ne chip.

16  Xbox 360 / XboxHacking - General / Re: Unplugging to Play Xbox Live with older pre-iXtreme firmware... on: August 20, 2007, 04:35:23 AM
unknown, they still can store data in your flash on the mobo. So the next time you connect to live they can send the data over and you'll be bannend.

17  Xbox 360 / XboxHacking - General / Re: Japanese 360 Help on: July 26, 2007, 01:27:11 AM
The following assumes you have the correct 1BL key and CPU key set in the flashtool.
1. Dump the NAND from the US 360 (528-bytes-per-page)
2. Open in the latest flashtool (v0.Cool and click [extract]
3. Edit extracted KV.bin and change 16-bits at offset 0xB8 from 0x00FF to 0x02FE
4. Open in flashtool and click [patch], check the "patch keyvault" box and select the KV.bin modified in step 3
5. Click [OK] and choose output file
6. Flash output image back to the NAND of the US 360
7. Try an EU game or two.

so you first need your 1BL key and CPU key. so what's your kernel?

iXtreme firmware 1.2 RevC for TS-H943 Xbox 360
>> A new firmware is released for the TS-H943 xbox360 drive..

(v1.2 RevC) Failed Stealth backups report normal disc information

This release patches the stealth information from NON-stealth disc's, so that the invalid info is not sent over live when the disc does not boot.

is this the case with hitachi firmware also??
