I'm sure many of you who repair Xbox 360s run into this situation. Every now and then, you do a mod and it just so happens, a day or maybe a few days later the system RRODs and the customer blames you for it.
I tried explaining to the customer the issues with overheating, design of the 360 motherboard, and even showed him the secondary 0102 error code detailing that it was a GPU issue. Flashing the system has NOTHING to do with his error. I even took time to explain to him the on going issues with 360s that it's a very widespread problem.
Since he was insistent that I fix his Xbox for free, I told him I wouldn't charge him anything, took his e-mail down and told him I would post on a few forums, get some responses and prove to him that flashing his system had nothing to do with his RROD. After that, I said if he still doesn't want to pay me for the repair that it's on his conscience.
The problem is even if he didn't end up paying me, I'm not sure how warranty support for this guy would work. I usually provide 3 months, but in this case he would be getting free work from me.
What do you guys think?
Thanks,
Robo

Read your message and tell me why I shouldn't infer you are charging for modding services ?? You speak of customers, free repair and warranty...
Give me a break.
