Everything you just described is a good way to tell if its a bad flash.

I think that pack includes a via edited mtkflash. I would recommend using a floppy and doing it the old fashion way to rule out the usb stick as the problem.

Any file that can be used to circumvent the xbox360 copy protection is illegal, that goes for patches and firmware files. Feel free to discuss offsets of data or whatever.

The files you are asking for contain material that is illegal under DMCA, so don't ask for them here.

Its up to you, when you flash it should automatically create a file named orig.bin which will be your backup.

Try the slax boot disc as explained in geebees tutorial. If that doesn't work buy a SATA to IDE adaptor or a IDE to SATA adaptor, and either do the hotswap trick with a IDE dvd-drive with the sata adaptor or use the IDE adaptor to make the hitachi IDE and run slax boot disk.

Don't know, will have to get it in mode b and see if windows detects it first. But its still going to be broken, flash won't fix anything you did to it so far. Just will allow you to backup your key and buy a new drive.

If you can get it detected in windows and attempt a flash it will backup your key, but if your drive won't eject or spin up I doubt you will be able to get it working in windows.

Sure just make sure to wipe off all the old stuff first, and tighten the screws well or it might cause the same error. But it might be to late if your console won't boot cold then you probably fried the gpu or another chip.

You will have to get your key off the old drive to be able to flash it to a new drive. So you will either have to desoldier the flash chip and buy a programmer to read it, or buy a new console.

Yeah you shorted something out on the dvd-drive. But if you never got to the point where you flash the drive, you won't have a backup and your key is lost without desoldiering the flash chip. Without a key even a new drive won't get you anywhere.

Samsung drives can be recovered with out desoldiering the flash, check out geebee's tutorial at xbox-scene and follow the bad flash recovery.

If your tray won't open its either a bad flash or damage caused by crossing the wrong wires or holding them to long.

If it is a bad flash and you can not get your drive detected in windows anymore, sorry to say there is no way to fix it without desoldiering the flash. When you flash you got to read it carefully if you see failed anywhere you got to do it again and again till all are successful.
