Theres no way your going to be able to fix it. Also even if you buy a new drive you won't have the key off the broken drive. Your only choice is to desolder the flash chip buy a expensive programmer then get the key and put that in a replacement drive.

There is no checksum on the samsung drive. Just restoring your orig.bin will put it back to the way it was.

Yes just about dvd/dvd burners work fine.

What do you expect with a question like that...
No one knows how or when the 360 will be explioted, any hackers that are working on it keep there work secret and are not going to send out weekly progress reports

Yep it was because people were making there own flash programs with it, but this one is in a xbox live container so its got to be from the hard drive or another source. It doesn't boot so its not that interesting.

No since its illegal to copy even arcade games...
All games are locked to an xbox live account. Only reason hexic works is because its a free game and its not locked.

It uses the same folder format as the arcade unpluged disc. So when you goto the arcade blade the console checks the dvd drive for games and it will show up in that screen. But hexic comes free with the hard drive so its pretty pointless...

Seems to be, for some reason garyopa's firmware is not working currectly to extract backups with the method he described.

Goto page 40 of that tutorial for wxripper method.

Can disassemble your 360 drive too or any dvd drive. Doesn't need to be a burner.

I have tried it also, it does not make a good copy. Give wxripper a try I bet your problems will be solved with that. 
Just use wxripper, it does the same thing as a hotswap but simpler.

If your trying to rip the game with a hitachi drive and isobuster it won't work. It will only rip the video part. You will need to use wxripper, or hotswap. And drive tools also only works rips games with the samsung drives (SH-D162C and 360 samsung).

If your clonecd was to old you would get an error opening the .dvd file. If it opens it fine then your clonecd is recent enough.
The SS you extracted with drivetools should be fine. I would start fresh, delete everything you got and rerip the game with drive tools and merge again.

It works, I am the one that posted this information. It was orignaly discovered by Ping9x and the info was passed to me a few months ago. And no you can't change the region because the code is in the default.xex which is signed.
