right, i've upgraded my pc and it only has 1 IDE which currently has my Pionner 112D on it, as you know 2 drives on 1 ide connection is a no go for on the fly burning so looking for a sata dvd/dl writer thats compatible with 360 image burning. Yes i could get a IDE controller card but if i don't have to then i would rather not, any idea's, i'm looking at this
LiteOn DH-20A1S SATA interface to go with the pioneer which will stay on the IDE connection

don't know if mine post is relevent, but i had a hitachi 47DJ and put in a samsung ms25, and what i did with iXtreme 1.2 was take my key from orginal hitachi and used toobox to insert and replace into orginal samsung ms25. Then ran the command in iXtreme to make new iXtreme firmware, upon which i then took that firmwire and in toolbox select spoof to hitachi47. Then flashed, all fine

If you backup the game yourself using the original and then test with XDVDMulliter and it passes.. you know you are OK.. but the "warez" versions are just trash and all mixed up.
i had 50 odd not work with ixtreme 1.0, thats fine as they was basically all old releases anyway, and with 1.2 iXtreme i've only found crackdown to be not working which i knew about anyway even after patching (as the scene release didn't have it), all the other scene releases are fine - so the "warez" versions are just trash and all mixed up isn't true only the older ones upto around Dead Rising then you should be fine, and hopefully all from now on must be patched properly or they won't be proper scene release's

i would imagine this would pretty much screwup all the scene releases then upto the release of this firmware where they would do it properly would it not? (which ain't a bad thing), making them not work at all unless you done your own rips, as i would gather alot of them scene releases ain't patched properly or borrow generic dmi from one game to another

i think you find that these people who sell xboxs pre-flashed all state that you use LIVE at your own risk, People i have spoken too don't care for LIVE in most cases esp if they've never used it before, all they are after is a cheap system that plays copied games at the end of the day. Its only those that have gone on LIVE and seen what its all about and how the games are so tied in with LIVE that are now seeing the light and wishing for the firmware updates to hurry up

And not the usual method of x-clamp replacement.
SO what i did was took of the x-clamps and applied artic silver and noticed that the x-clamp once fixed back on wasn't very tight. So i thought and know that the motherboard can warp causing less contact between cpu/gpu and heatsinks hence the x-clamp modification thats about but didn't want to do that so what i did is cut of 2x 1 inch squares of 2mm thick stickyback foam (what speakers have sometimes as feet to protect the floor) and stuck 2 on each center of each x-clamp. Put it all back together and presto all fine. I think the foam pushes against the clamp and outer case and puts more pressure on the x-clamp in the center causing more tension on the grips pulling heatsink further down.
anyway it worked and was dead cheap and only took 15mins, so more than happy, lol

i've just put a ms25 with ixtreme in my new hitachi core 360. I took the key from hitachi 47dj and replaced the key in the orginal ms25 with hitachi using toolbox 3.1B, then used Make iXtreme firmware.cmd and selected N to change ms25 to ms28 f/w iXtreme, then put that output new iXtreme file back through toolbox and selected "spoof drive as Hitachi 47", then flashed it to samsung, put in 360 and all is fine.
Only thing i'm not sure of now is if i want to put back orginal Hitachi with new hitachi iXtreme when it comes out if it'll flag my systems as changed drive or because the samsung is spoofed as my orginal 47 hitachi it won't notice the change because as far as its concerned the samsung is a hitachi

garyopa when is our stealth firmware for hitachi coming
look man, hurry up a little GUYS STOP IT FFS! It will come when its done, so stop bothering garyopa or any1 else with this $#!t. Stay calm and you will see... people are asking because with samsung we was kept up to date via mirc logs from #fw channel from c4eva, since the release for samsung nobody has heard anything about hitachi just that they are working on it. Its only natural that people want a update of some sort on the situation, even if its going to take a few more weeks, bad news or how ever you see it is better than no news whatsoever, even if little titbits, even more so when iXtreme 1.1 is comming for samsung!, its as if Hitachi has dropped of the "to do list"

Just been out to buy another 360 Core system from GAME in UK and just taken a peek and it has a 20th March 2006 Manufactor date!!!! - with a hitachi 47DJ. Its deffo new, just was surprised that a large retailer like GAME who has a high turnover of systems still has core systems this old? This would mean that this console has never seen a online upgrade as the 1st dash upgrade was in May was it not 2006?.
Anyway just waiting for my connectivity kit v2 and the hitachi iXtreme.
Also, can someone tell me what the dash code is for launch consoles, as i will check, i know we are on 2.0.579 but what was the 1st

continue using your current firmware but don't play any non stealthed games, this is what i've been doing since last saturday on 1 xbox setup and i've been banned twice on 2 others whilst playing non stealthed within 2 days (last weekend), this one is still fine, until MS implement new dectection that the iextreme will cater for,
