981  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / Re: Reaplacing DVD Drive on: April 08, 2010, 02:36:18 PM
much easier and cheaper to replace laser

hell i bet if you cracked the dvd drive open and cleaned it, it would work again

80% of my liteon repairs are solved this way

983  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / Re: cpu+nand replaced - caps gone bad ? on: April 04, 2010, 04:32:55 AM
well your pro man has blew several caps.

984  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / Re: rrod repair on: April 04, 2010, 04:31:39 AM
do the rrod repair correctly

if it overheats straight away then you need to reflow ram and make sure that the heatsinks are clean and no dust or bits of crap are in between processor and heatsink
985  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / Re: cpu+nand replaced - caps gone bad ? on: April 04, 2010, 02:55:03 AM
the cap in the first pic is defo dead, look how swollen it is

check your voltages with a multimeter you can trace out the bad caps

god knows what else you have killed with excessive heat

987  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / Re: help with usb/spi flasher please on: March 28, 2010, 03:11:49 PM

990  Xbox 360 / XboxHacking - General / Re: Can we Skip the new dash update on Wave 4 discs? on: March 25, 2010, 06:47:18 PM
Just install XBReboot, it's solves all problems plus allowing you to play games without having to insert the disc

lmfao you say that like it can be installed on any old xbox....
991  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / Re: Getting Rrod, console overheats but still boot... on: March 24, 2010, 06:02:49 PM

find secondary code and sort out the problem
992  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / Re: WHAT IS THIS ON MY 93450.. on: March 24, 2010, 05:16:07 PM
why worry about it if you have your key?
993  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / Re: unable to unbrick liteon 7495 on: March 24, 2010, 04:18:24 PM
nope fed up trying now nothing is working im assuming the drive is now dead

windows pauses for a few secs a few times when you connect the drive but JF and dosflash in native dos give same output as the sata cable unconnected constant status of 0x80

scrap drive doesnt worry me i have a good number of drives here and i had the key, but was always of the opinion that liteons couyld be recovered from a brick.
994  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / Re: swap cpu's between falcons on: March 24, 2010, 09:31:44 AM
that is complete bull$#!t you will destroy the CPU trying to remove it like that

you require a BGA rework station to correctly lift the CPU without harming it, and it is lifted with a suction type device, not by prising it off.
995  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / Re: Flashing Hitachi??? on: March 24, 2010, 06:58:34 AM

i seen the sarcasm but he wont have!!
996  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / Re: Flashing Hitachi??? on: March 24, 2010, 04:41:17 AM
use modeb button on the connectivity kit.....

or else send modeb command through JF
997  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / Re: unable to unbrick liteon 7495 on: March 24, 2010, 04:39:58 AM
listen dont get me wrong i appreciate your inputs, i'm all for ideas but you guys are not reading what i have stated already.

l-o-erase does nothing to the drive in dos or with JF, it does not give me the correct status no matter what i try, power timing, change sata port etc.

lucas, dosflash doesnt even pick the drive up so i cant choose not to resend vendor intro as it doesnt even see an atapi device on the port.

with every other bricked liteon i have had it still showed up as an unknown controller, this one doesnt even respond to dosflash on any port.

in JF when i send the vendor into command, the status does not change from 0x80 to 0x50 etc when the power is cycled, it just stays at 0x80 constant.
998  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / Re: How to solder a vga cable to xbox 360 motherboard? on: March 23, 2010, 03:57:23 PM

999  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / Re: Kv.bin and dashboard updates? on: March 23, 2010, 03:40:27 PM
kv.bin is the same

no each kv is encrypted with the individual consoles CPU key and cannot be simply swapped without decrypting it and reencrypting it with the correct CPU key
1000  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / Re: unable to unbrick liteon 7495 on: March 23, 2010, 03:13:12 PM
i have flashed literally 100 liteon drives with no issues i do not need told how to do it thanks!!

this drive has literally died which i have never seen before on a liteon

i have had the flash freeze countless times before in JF due to driver issues with my via PCI card

every other time the drive could be restored in dos with l-o-eras and dosflash

this time the drive does not respond at all, no status changes, no detection.

starting to think the only way to recover the drive is the MRA method, which i will try next time i have a spare hour.
