581  Research & Technical XboxHacking (Xbox 360) / Software (TECHNICAL) / Re: Where is stored the xlive server address ? on: January 07, 2011, 09:30:03 AM
I have a JTAG, and i have done nothing else but turn the account safety on and block all live access and live membership creation on the console.

my JTAG can get online fine and get FSD updates and boxarts, and has not been banned yet.
582  Research & Technical XboxHacking (Xbox 360) / Software (TECHNICAL) / Re: Change the public and private keys for XEX on: January 07, 2011, 09:26:01 AM
no

imposible to change the keys in a retail box.

don't know about JTAG's but im pretty sure the key isnt stored in plaintext anywhere that could be easily changed, would be highly secured and encrypted with an algorith that does not use a set number (this is m$ not sony)

and would be pointless for JTAG's anyways as we can run unsigned code....

so in total a pretty useless thread.

E74 is the RAM die on the GPU itself failing, nothing to do at all with BGA connections under the GPU
584  Other Systems / Playstation 3 / Re: Hackers obtain PS3 private cryptography key due to epic programming fail? on: January 04, 2011, 07:30:04 PM
Does this mean there will be homebrew (signed with the newly obtained key)
that i can just throw on  usb stick and run it without having to do anything with my console?

Sorry for the noob post..
But i dont see any reason that prevents this anymore?

from what ive read this is apparently so.

raging i sold my ps3 over xmas now lol it was 3.41 as well Sad

welcome to 2011!!

certain mobo's change a drives HPA value when it is connected that can appear to kill your drive.

there is a solution to this posted on this forum which jelle2503 has kindly provided above.

need a better pic to see it better but looks like it is fixable.

repost a higher res pic

should be able to replace resistor and scrape trace and tie in with kynar
588  Research & Technical XboxHacking (Xbox 360) / DVD-ROM Drive and Media / Re: 93450c issue on: January 03, 2011, 04:14:44 AM
there is a thread on here about how to fix the liteon if pads are lifted look for it
589  Research & Technical XboxHacking (Xbox 360) / DVD-ROM Drive and Media / Re: 93450c issue on: January 02, 2011, 06:26:39 AM
dude not to be rude but if you dont know how to connect a resistor in series you really shouldn't be attempting this mod yourself, your knowledge is obviously very low in electronics, and the xbox can become a very expensive paperweight, very very easily.

FYI series means you connect them together in line with the circuit ie --R--R--

590  Research & Technical XboxHacking (Xbox 360) / DVD-ROM Drive and Media / Re: 93450c issue on: January 02, 2011, 06:02:57 AM
connect them in series, and use BOXXDRR method as it stops the via's from being destroyed
591  Research & Technical XboxHacking (Xbox 360) / DVD-ROM Drive and Media / Re: 93450c issue on: January 01, 2011, 09:01:11 PM
resistors dont have polarity, can be connected in any way
592  Xbox 360 / XboxHacking - General / Re: Heres a program to create a perfect nand dump if youre having trouble on: December 31, 2010, 09:26:40 PM
LMAO i love these stupid apps

nice coding there bud but if you would sort your flashing setup out, then you can get 100% matching dumps every time

why create the false illusion that its ok to flash over your orig NAND if you cant get good dumps?

IT IS NOT OK TO FLASH WITHOUT 100% MATCHING DUMPS
593  Research & Technical XboxHacking (Xbox 360) / DVD-ROM Drive and Media / Re: Dosflash 1.9 from Kai Schtrom, happy new year 2011 on: December 31, 2010, 09:23:53 PM
i thought the UART patch from maximus was shot down by C4EVA as unsafe for XBL?

wonder why support for it has continued if this is the case??

would be good for anyone who has flashed LT and then lost their drives orig files/dvd key, to stop the necessity to MRA dump the drive again.

edit:correction
594  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / Re: Help Request: Installaing a Game ISO to USB HDD via a PC OS on: December 31, 2010, 08:38:42 AM
you can at the moment extract your dvd key and inquiry info from the slim drives (well not the new hitachi yet)

when the native fw is released for the particular drive you can do it then

dont try to mod a phat drive into the console - it doesnt work, just wait for the lt+ for slims

The more kiddies $#!ts the thread, the more important stuff gets lost in the mess.
Have you ever heard about slim to be easily detectable cause of new cmds to check codearea and dram, on and off Live?

ive posted this also about 3 times now in this thread, really oughta be locked now or else seriously cleaned of all the bull$#!t of dumb kiddies who cant wait for c4eva, as i for one am tired of reading the same $#!t over and over, trying to pick out the gold with a toothpick from the huge pile of $#!t the thread has become.
596  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / Re: Help Request: Installaing a Game ISO to USB HDD via a PC OS on: December 30, 2010, 04:42:46 AM
either that or mod your console to play backups and backup your discs
597  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / Re: erased NAND help on: December 29, 2010, 03:44:53 PM
nice one glad it worked out for you
598  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / Re: Help Request: Installaing a Game to USB HDD via a PC OS on: December 29, 2010, 02:37:03 PM
save yourself the hassle, run down to the nearest game rental place and rent the game, rip it to your hard drive, then you can use your marked disc to load it from hd.
599  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / Re: erased NAND help on: December 29, 2010, 10:06:41 AM
you misunderstand me.

make an image using the donors data and CPU key, NOT using the native CPU key for your board

fb 0.4 is zero paired meaning that it will boot on any motherboard as long as the nand image is compiled using its own CPU key.
600  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / Re: erased NAND help on: December 28, 2010, 06:37:53 PM
get a donor nand and donor CPU key (matching) and build a freeboot image 0.4 using the donor info then flash to xbox
