permanent fix would be to replace the GPU with a new one and replace the BGA balls with leaded solder ones.

no you cant unban a banned xbox
503  Xbox 360 / XboxHacking - General / Re: 12611 freeboot image fails boot after power loss on: February 03, 2011, 08:54:32 AM
I have found recently that flash360 does not handle bad blocks correctly, and will f*** up your flash if you use it to flash.

try flashing your 12611 image over LPT/USB managing bad blocks manually beforehand.

If you used your 9199 image as source for building your 12611, the SMC will be correct.
504  Research & Technical XboxHacking (Xbox 360) / Software (TECHNICAL) / Re: Add AP25 removal to DashLaunch 2.02?? on: January 29, 2011, 03:47:32 AM
the 9199 dash does not check for ap2.5 data anyway so that wasnt your problem to start with.
505  Xbox 360 / XboxHacking - General / Re: dvd drive key on: January 28, 2011, 10:54:02 AM
Samsung Hitachi drives use SANYO SF-HD63/67 DVD optical pickup.

and i have found that you cant swap these, have to use same type

ie 63 for 63 and 67 for 67.
506  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / Re: Can't Boot Xell from a RRoD Console on: January 28, 2011, 10:51:23 AM
no

damaged connections can only be replaced

not forced to work by pressure.
507  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / Re: Can't Boot Xell from a RRoD Console on: January 27, 2011, 06:00:27 PM
hey blackaddr, is it possible to just fix the memory with a heatgun?

Well, it's a helluva lot easier to reflow a memory bga then the whole GPU so that was my plan.  I haven't got around to trying to fix my E74 falcon yet, it's in the todo pile, so I can't personally say reflowing the memory chips alone will fix an E74.

What I can say is that E74s are well known to run Xell, which means enough of the GPU is working to receive the JTAG payload and write the PCIe bus, and render an error screen with original dash.  It's highly likely on a console like this that the GPU is fine (at the moment) and the error is the memory chips, or if it is in fact the GPU, it's the balls for the memory bus.

However, I suspect an E74 that is fixed with a mem reflow only probably has GPU connections that are going to break sooner or later.

would it make sense to just put some stuff under the memchips to close the broken joints/fix the position of the reflowed joints?

LMAO yes its as simple as that....

as if!!

if there are joined balls you will need to put flux under to try and seperate them

if you cant then they need removed and reballed

you cant just squirt some magical $#!t under it and it works magically
508  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / Re: Re-Flowed Console Still Has RRoD 0102 Error Code on: January 27, 2011, 02:45:26 PM
yes of course it will still get as hot

but this time the BGA balls are leaded, and will not break like the $#!tty unleaded ones

dont know about silver o can't comment

you need to do some cooling mods tho to be safe

splitting the shroud and setting fan higher (if JTAG) mae the biggest impact on heat
509  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / Re: Re-Flowed Console Still Has RRoD 0102 Error Code on: January 26, 2011, 08:26:03 AM
when the GPU fails you will get a constant 0102 error that cant be fixed be reflowing, and you run the risk of damaging the pads underneath if you reflow it too often.#

send it to be reballed with a new GPU and LEADED solder will last forever.
510  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / Re: Can't Boot Xell from a RRoD Console on: January 26, 2011, 08:24:58 AM
LMAO if there is a hardware fault you will not get anything to boot.

booting without heatsinks will result in 2 RROD very quickly

you can boot without dvd drive yes, and with no fan but again it will RROD eventally with overheating

but if it has a core hardware issue RROD it will fail on POST before it even gets the chance to get too hot.

fix the RROD first then proceed LOL
511  Xbox 360 / XboxHacking - General / Re: Any way to run dead space 2 on JTAG without disc 2 in drive? on: January 26, 2011, 05:25:10 AM
Okay ,thanks heaps. Sorry to be a noob but ive never used a plugin in dashlaunch. Ive only just recently installed dashlaunch 2.08. How do i install the plugin??? Do i just run the swap.xex and thats it or do i need to edit text in this .ini file i keep hearing about and have no idea where it is??

In the dashlaunch folder!!

theres sample_launch.ini and launch.ini

right click either and choose edit then set the path of the xex of the plugin

then place this ini on the root of your hdd/MU/USB, same dir as you specified in the ini
512  Xbox 360 / XboxHacking - General / Re: dvd drive key on: January 25, 2011, 02:14:31 PM
dump fw from both xboxes

load the 2nd xbox fw in JF and choose save key.bin as KEY2.bin

load the fw from the 1st xbox and patch over the KEY2.bin and spoof to match the type of drive for 2nd xbox

flash this to drive from 1st xbox

so you have drive from 1st xbox with key and spoofed info of 2nd drive
513  Xbox 360 / XboxHacking - General / Re: Any way to run dead space 2 on JTAG without disc 2 in drive? on: January 25, 2011, 08:01:40 AM
theres a plugin for FSD2 that auto switches GOD's for you.

FSD2 will be updated in time to support this for all games
514  Xbox 360 / XboxHacking - General / Re: dvd drive key on: January 25, 2011, 08:00:47 AM
you have several options

1. buy a new laser for the 2nd functioning xbox (prob easiest fix TBH)

2. if the dvd drives of both xboxes use the same laser you can take the laser out of the 1st broken xbox and put in into 2nd.

(sammylaser =hitachi laser, benq laser= liteon laser)

3. you can dump the key from your 2nd xbox and patch it into the drive from the 1st xbox (not advisable if drives are different and you use live spoof = ban)
515  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / Re: Use old 360 HDD in External Enclosure on: January 24, 2011, 05:29:23 PM
the undo.bin is generated from a western digital drive when you patch a m$ ss.bin in so that you can return it back to its original state.

it has nothing to do with the official m$ hard drive.

1. format your new WD hard drive with hddhackr

2. transfer your content in which ever way you please

3. then swap hdd's and format the m$ one in windows like any other hdd.

Gazcoigne: Using a donor image (wich means a donor keyvault) in current fb will result in a disabled dvd drive.
Meaning no game will run from the drive.

of course the dvd drive wont work - it has the original key. quit being a douche, the fact that the dvd drive wouldnt work is obvious.

its very easy to open the donor nand in 360flashtool and extract the key, and patch it into his drive.

this fix prob takes about 20 times less time and effort than trying to ressurect his orig files.

why worry about original files when a donor can fix it easier and faster?

surely you dont care about getting onto live?
517  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / Re: Want to make a GOD of Dead Space 2. on: January 24, 2011, 08:39:22 AM
no piracy-support etc. etc. this will go to landfill. sorry, but if you're not experienced enough to understand a program as simple as iso2god, you shouldn't be using a jtag. just my 2 cents

lmao he didnt mention downloading or buying backups, so his question is valid.

not all multi disc games can be combinedinto a single GOD AFAIK

but shadowguys solution sounds viable.
518  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / Re: Completly Messed Up Jasper From Start To Finish on: January 24, 2011, 08:30:21 AM
personally i have the resistors and diodes soldered to the mobo rather than the LPT end

those pics look ok for soldering, what about the JTAG wiring?

thats the main issue, not the SPI hookup.
519  Xbox 360 / XboxHacking - General / Re: Freeboot update problem 9199>12611 on: January 24, 2011, 07:25:30 AM
SOLVED!!

ok after a LOT of head scratching and puzzling i have found the problem and fixed it!!

after months of RROD and countless late nights researching into LDV and pairing issues, the problem has identified as the BAD BLOCKS!!

absolutely disgusted!!

heres a recap:

1st ever flash was done over LPT putting XBR on and managing bad blocks manually - BOOTS OK

2nd ever flash was updating 8955 XBR to 9199 FB, image made on PC but flashed using flash360 (let flash360 manage bad blocks) - RROD 0022

3rd flash was phonseys "fixed" image that was flashed over LPT, bad blocks moved manually - BOOTS OK

4th flash was updating 9199FB to 12611FB using flash360 (let flash360 manage bad blocks) - RROD 0022

5th flash was when i got suspicious of flash360 and flashed same image as 4th flash over USB moving bad blocks manually - BOOTS OK

MORAL OF THE STORY - FLASH360 TRIES TO MANAGE BAD BLOCKS BUT FAILS MISERABLY.

for months i doubted my own abilities to create images, and even wondered if i had some sort of hybrid console lol when all along my issues were to do with flashing using flash360.

i always scoffed at people complaining about bad blocks, as previously i had never updated a console with bad blocks using flash360 apart from my own. the others were ALWAYSdone with LPT/USB as it was 1st flash. wow i feel a bit dumb now lol!!  Embarrassed

TBH I am quite disappointed in my findings as i had always thought flash360 was a great app.

perhaps the author wil see this and address the issues. probably not.

How is a Donor Nand going to work if he can't even get Xell running by straight flashing Xell?

Xell is the easiest thing of all to get working. I'd have thought that until he solves the reason as to why Xell will not boot, neither will donor.

Baby steps...

im not concerned about the fact he couldnt solder correctly, thats a simple thing to fix IMHO.

im merely showing him that all is not lost because he lost all his orig data.

everyone was like "f*** im not going to help him because of how much he did wrong" whats that all about?

ive shown him how to get the console booting again.

its up to him to learn how to solder correctly. once he does that its piss easy to fix.

and if the issue is bad blocks then he needs to figure out allthe blocklocations and remap them manually before flashing.

to the OP, stop being a nublet and depending heavily on single click apps that are $#!t and for noobs and cause more problems than they solve.

read up on how to use nandpro, and buy yourself a USB programmer, and a multimeter.

flash the donor image, then set to solder the JTAG points CORRECTLY.

it will boot once you have put the wiring in place correctly.

and for god's sake make sure that you check the donor image to see what SMC config its using (IE where the wires go on the mobo) as some people use alternative wiring that is evident if you check the SMC, or even ask the donor.

if yor boardis set up for aud_clamp, then change the SMCof the donor image to match before flashing.
