1661  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / Re: Need help turning 360 DVD drive to PC, 3.3v regulator where on mobo? on: June 07, 2009, 04:23:07 AM
damn arakon i was about to lay into him!!

resistors alters the current in a system, which in turn affects the voltage through the equation V= IR and CANNOT be used as a volotage regulator.

twat for such a knowledgeable guy as you pretend to be you dont even know primary school science.

please stop telling people complete nonsense or even better take a hammer to your PC and do us all a favour.

to derrick

if all else fails buy a cheap connectivity kit and stick it in the PC will power your drive fine.
1662  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / Re: Copied xbox 1 on xbox 360 on: June 07, 2009, 04:21:24 AM
yes the disc plays but it can still get you banned as it cannot be 100% stealthed like 360 games as said before
1663  Xbox 360 / Xbox 360 General Discussion / Re: Screws + Motherboard - nylon washers= Idiot! on: June 07, 2009, 03:59:39 AM
Huh I am blown away at how many people try to fix their rrod, and then screw it up by tightening the METAL.....METAL!!!! screws straight onto the motherboards.....ELECTRICITY.....ELECTRICITY!!!! And they wonder why it didn't work. Undecided And I hope they quit drowning the cpu/gpu and mem chips in crappy thermal compound that looks like the Staypuffed Marshmallow man blew up inside the system. But.... Smiley I guess if they didn't do those things, I'd be out quite a bit of extra money. But its soooo FRUSTRATING! Wink

what is this thread for?

who cares if people who arent as good as you at modding do a bad job?

I especially dont want to read your crappy rant about it so stfu.
1664  Xbox 360 / XboxHacking - General / Re: PCMCIA no com ports were found (samsung) with Jungle flasher on: June 04, 2009, 12:19:37 PM
what type of samsung do you have ms28?

need to work out port for sata card and send sammy unlock to the drive to make it appear.

never did it on a laptop through pcmcia before not sure if it even works may be wrong someone else will confirm.
1665  Research & Technical XboxHacking (Xbox 360) / DVD-ROM Drive and Media / Re: MS28 Power Connector Pins Questions on: June 01, 2009, 10:21:21 AM
nice external case looks buff did you make it completely from scratch or did you use a HDDVD case?

i'd love to see the cooling mods you have made way for any pics of that?
1666  Xbox 360 / Xbox 360 General Discussion / Re: Flashing New Philips with iXtreme on: June 01, 2009, 08:09:12 AM
philips and liteon are two completely different drives...

umm no they are not!
* Gazcoigne reads the top of my liteon

"Philips & Liteon Digital Solutions Corporation"

and from wikipedia

"In 2006, Lite-On IT acquired BenQ's Optical Disc Drive (ODD) business to become the second largest optical disc drive manufacturer in the world.

In February 2007, the European Union approved Lite-On's buy into the Philips-BenQ joint venture on digital storage. Lite-On bought out the BenQ shares under the deal and the joint venture was renamed Philips & Lite-On Digital Solutions (PLDS)."

Yes i know there was a phillips drive made for the 360 but it was not used in the final models just in dev models so why would he be asking about it as they cant be used in commercial models?

b4 u jump in to take the piss out of someone, know what you are talking about or even better if you have nothing useful to type. then simply dont, your post count has f*** all to do with your knowledge or the size of your cock.

to danzio: i think you need to spend a good few days researching and learning before you attempt a mod as you seem to not know the ins and outs of it and its very easy for a newbie to f*** their 360 up, i know as i killed my first 360 flashing xtreme 1.0 back in the day.

also dont let ppl like .ISO put you off asking for help if you get stuck, there are some of us nice people who will help, used to be more on this forum years ago before all the banned pricks from x-scene started arriving.

the major point is no-one will hold your hand through it.

google textbooks tutorial and read read read

good luck.
1667  Xbox 360 / Xbox 360 General Discussion / Re: New media any good? on: June 01, 2009, 07:54:07 AM
i use aone and sumvision no problems at all occasionally get a 10 spool that are all duff and fail, just take em back to the shop for a new spindle.

used to use verbs only but caught myself on when i realised how much they cost compared to the cheaper media like x5 the price.
1668  Research & Technical XboxHacking (Xbox 360) / Hard Disk / Re: why mod a hardrive? on: June 01, 2009, 06:21:00 AM
OMFG how funny you think that these are "official" drives!!!

they are clones from china 100% identical to the ones people are making themselves.

This i know as i can get them direct from china from the wholesalers for a good price if you buy in bulk.

ive seen them in real life and held one in my hands- completely identical apart from the fake m$ warranty label.

i challenge you to buy one and crack it open who would take bets its a BEVS scorpio??

FYI ebay is full of pirated material being sold as official you are a very nieve person indeed.
1669  Xbox 360 / XboxHacking - General / Re: BenQ 1.6 iXtreme stuck on "Reading" in Dashboard on: June 01, 2009, 06:15:01 AM
i have found that verbs do not work with some samsung and hitachi drives so they arent all that.

verbs come in different quality bands- cheap verbs are $#!te.

i personally use any discs (Aone, sumvision) that will read in the xbox its easy to rerip your original to a cheap disc when its duffed.
1670  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / Re: First backup tested with BenQ- No success. on: June 01, 2009, 05:04:13 AM
memorex discs are $#!te buy good quality discs benq can be very fussy about media.

also what app you use to backup the game?
1671  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / Re: modded xbox seems to be destroying games on: June 01, 2009, 05:01:56 AM
i would go back to the guy and ask him about the discs.

just because he tells you they are verbs dont mean that they are good quality discs.

verbs even get copied too you know, damn asian ppl can copy anything!!
1672  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / Re: Networking PCs to 360 via Windows Media Center? on: June 01, 2009, 04:58:30 AM
the firewall i was mentioning was on your pc not the router

you cannot watch HD stuff over wireless of you are on a poor connection or too far away i have found.

correct me  if im wrong but doesnt wireless standards get faster as the letter progresses through tthe alphabet? ie n is curently fastest and a is oldest and slowest?

is your PC connected through wireless to the network also? in that case you will have to open ports to the pc as well as the 360. i suspect this is your problem you may need to hard wire the PC at least, in every setup i have done my PC is always hard wired.

final idea for you is to buy the kit that lets you run a network over your home power lines you get two big plugs with ethernet ports in them, one beside ur pc and one beside your 360 then you will defo get it working.
1673  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / Re: Networking PCs to 360 via Windows Media Center? on: May 31, 2009, 10:42:26 AM
i have had my 360 hooked up to wmc over hard wired network, on wireless through ms dongle and between two routers not a problem at all.

Very important to set up a dmz in your router, assign static IP to your 360, and open all ports to your 360 to get open status for live.

I am pretty sure that of you cant get wmc working you are prob blocking 50% of other live users from playing with you.

Also check your AV/firewall settings i use NOD32 and it blocked it, had to go in and manually let it connect.
1674  Research & Technical XboxHacking (Xbox 360) / Hard Disk / Re: XBOX360 Memory card UP TO 32GB IS IT Possible ?? on: May 14, 2009, 04:26:32 PM
ive seen a memory card advertised from datel that uses a micro sd slot and lets you put in any size micro sd up to 16gb

they must have cracked the security chip to allow you to change the memory size so perhaps this is possible with a bit of haxoring
1675  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / Re: switching my xbox 360 dvd drive need help on: March 20, 2009, 01:59:09 PM
i would only flash a native fw to a drive in case of any differences in the fw that could result in ban

maybe paranoid but no reason not to do it as precaution though pointless if modding the drive

good point on the jf would be easier to do key swap
1676  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / Re: switching my xbox 360 dvd drive need help on: March 19, 2009, 03:27:07 PM
replacing the laser is piss easy a lot easier than reflashing your key into a new drive

but then that is piss easy to me too.

search google for textbook's tutorial should help

in a nutshell here what you do

hook up benq to pc and use jungleflasher to read fw off orig drive

hook up new benq and do same

open fwtoolbox 4.8 and copy paste your key into the new fw

then use jungleflasher to flash modified fw with your key back to 2nd drive

put it all back together and pat yourself on the back and get down to some naked xbox.
1677  Xbox 360 / Xbox 360 General Discussion / Re: XBOX GAMES on: March 19, 2009, 03:15:06 PM
what you mean mods?

like cheating or making custom maps?

ps if you mod $#!t and log into live = banhammer
1678  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / Re: can't extract ss.bin file on: March 09, 2009, 01:35:21 PM
try xbox backup creator 2.8 better app imho

also make sure you have flashed the kreon firmware onto pc drive if it isnt already there
1679  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / Re: how to flash liteon using the 360 as power? on: March 09, 2009, 01:26:52 PM
i wouldnt do that as you run the chance of fookin the drive up if you dont connect the power cable correctly or god forbid put it in upside down yes i know its only out for a second but its still a risk.
1680  Research & Technical XboxHacking (Xbox 360) / DVD-ROM Drive and Media / Re: NTFS4DOS Boot CD using iPrep problems :( on: December 04, 2008, 07:11:38 PM
