1161  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / Re: Hitachi E64 / Broken flash? NEED HELP on: February 14, 2010, 06:06:22 AM
without modeb there can be no bit poking to pull key off so unfortunately willem is only option

as max says, sounds like the classic two wire trick gone bad or power plug in upside down done by someone else

a little project to further your 360 knowledge, grab a willem and start playing....

then you can add the service to your list for your customers you d be surprised how many people have an old xbox lying in a cupboard with a dead hitachi in it from such an error hell its how i killed my very first xbox

if you havent seen this

http://www.kev.nu/360/dvd.html

covers all the research into the very first fw dump of hitachi's but without modeb useless for your partivcular situation

big deal im on like my 7th or 8th console you buy ms you expect low quality hardware
1163  Xbox 360 / Xbox 360 "Modding" / Re: Falcon needs extra cooling? on: February 13, 2010, 04:39:35 AM
if your afraid you soldering will come loose just by taking the xbox apart then your soldering must be pants

did you not tape or hot glue the connections after soldering?

i dont know why you are so concerned about cooling, unless you are playing the xbox in 40 plus degree celsuis temperatures you should be ok with stock cooling

best option is to stick a whisper fan in, split the fan shroud, and apply a good thermal paste to the processors, and keep the console in a well ventilated area away from any heatsources.

anything else is overkill.
1164  Xbox 360 / Xbox 360 "Modding" / Re: help on jtag ing error on: February 13, 2010, 04:36:02 AM
honestly one of the worst soldering jobs ive seen yet

what power iron are you using? 15W? you need at least 25to melt the lead free solder in the holes.

grounding is not the issue for no flash controller detected, you need to give the xbox to some1 who can solder before you do some damage, if not already done.
1165  Xbox 360 / XboxHacking - General / Re: xbr 3 on xenon works normal until today... on: February 12, 2010, 05:33:43 PM
why are you checking live with a JTAGGED console out of curiosity

you do know you will be insta banned yes? and you will have your hdd crippled etc?

try flashing your XBR image through 360flash to ensure there are no corrupted sectors from a bad lpt flash
1166  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / Re: xenon XBR 2 red 2 green light on: February 12, 2010, 03:42:34 PM
theres learning

and also to top it off talking gibberish coz they dont speak english

i agree with jelle stop feeding the trolls!!
1167  Xbox 360 / XboxHacking - General / Re: Are there any multispeed versions of LT? on: February 12, 2010, 12:00:08 PM
the concept of LT is to keep the fw as close to stock as possible to reduce chance of detection, f***ing around with the drive speed will only increase the chance of a ban.
1168  Xbox 360 / Xbox 360 "Modding" / Re: Falcon needs extra cooling? on: February 12, 2010, 06:57:45 AM
falcon GPu runs a lot cooler than xenon

the mod that had the biggest temp decrease for me was dividing the shroud.

1170  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / Re: Trouble with corrupt hard drive on: February 12, 2010, 06:00:38 AM
try another PC?
1171  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / Re: Trouble with corrupt hard drive on: February 11, 2010, 04:08:45 PM
formatting a crippled (shhh no_name!!) hdd will not affect a clean console

only a banned console will corrupt your profile, and only if you load it (same for gamesaves)

use extreme2 and a via 6421 chipset you should have more luck
1172  Xbox 360 / XboxHacking - General / Re: Cygnos V2 Installed and flashed with latest XBR, can't see USB HDD. on: February 11, 2010, 03:34:01 PM
what app did you use to format the drive in fat32?

if you use the cmd line tool fat32format it will format the whole lot

see here http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/Hard-Disk-Utils/FAT32format.shtml

be sure to format the drive again as NTFS first using all the space in one partition, then run the cmd line app and it will format it into FAT32 in a few seconds.

1174  Research & Technical XboxHacking (Xbox 360) / Software (TECHNICAL) / Re: Nand compare & reconstruction tool on: February 11, 2010, 02:15:13 PM
im more inclined to agree with Gazcoigne, this does give a false sense of security, i have seen 1 box recently that had your tool used and it still bricked it.

as for customers side of things, i dont know about Gazcoigne, but my customers are people who want the homebrew hack, but are incapable of doing the soldering and dumping correctly without f****** things up. Does it sound unfair to you that i am charging so people arent lifting traces and test points, baring in mind look around at how many posts are on this forum alone with topics like, "help me... just f***** DB1F1"

while i can see your morals about this, there are reasons that we do this, i dont know about you but im not going to *give* my time away

my point exactly, not every1 is confident enough to do the mod, and a lot wont take the chance.

whats the problem in charging for that? im charging for the time spent soldering, desoldering and flashing etc same as i would if they wanted 12V mod or custom lighting etc you think im gonna find the 1st person who installed an LED in a console and pay them royalties? wise up.

again what if your dumps spit out the same garbage at the same point? is it good data? dont think so. your logic is not sound.

i reiterate my point that if you dont get 100% matching dumps you should not proceed, and trying to reconstruct a good nand from a pile of dung is pointless and really is skating on thin ice, it may work for you once or twice but sooner or later your gonna end up with a f***ed up xbox

and are you then going to be held responsible for that? love to see you firing out replacement xboxes coz ur tool made some1 think they could proceed with a bad setup.

and the point i made about not continuing if you aint got matching dumps has been said by more respected members of this community than you. Its even on free60 page ffs.

theres no need to be so defensive you can get critisism as well as praise here you know.

personally i will never ever use your app nice as the theory behind it is because im not prepared to take the risk, with my own or any1 elses xbox and i would also urge any1 reading this to look at their setup before they assume your app will be their saviour.
1175  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / Re: Xbox 360 open tray error needs fixed. BENQ DRIVE HELP ME PLZ on: February 10, 2010, 08:52:42 PM

1176  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / Re: Trouble with corrupt hard drive on: February 10, 2010, 08:32:25 PM
what version of xplorer360 you using?

i find the extreme120 version works on all drives for me, and also i need to hook it to my via 6421 or else it wont read properly on mobo sata

if you can , try ripping your saves off, then format the hdd in a clean console and recover your gamertag, then add the saves back on.
1177  Xbox 360 / Xbox 360 General Discussion / Re: new jtaged jaspar Fans going 100% on: February 10, 2010, 08:29:05 PM
try flashing your XBR.bin that has kv and config injected through flash360
1178  Xbox 360 / XboxHacking - General / Re: Making 360 hdd: Heres something handy for people with jtags.. on: February 10, 2010, 08:27:47 PM
no the stock hdd is only accessible through the hdd header, not a USB port
1179  Xbox 360 / XboxHacking - General / Re: HDD Uncrippling impossible? on: February 10, 2010, 05:37:54 PM

Your hard drive is still 100% functional so it is not crippled. I hate the use of that term as it is incorrect.

well it seems to be the term used by the majority of the xbox scene for the removal of certain functions, and i dont think everyone will change their terminology just because you dont like it!!
1180  Research & Technical XboxHacking (Xbox 360) / Software (TECHNICAL) / Re: Nand compare & reconstruction tool on: February 10, 2010, 05:25:20 PM
top marks for making a great tool

but surely it is time wasted?

IMHO it is stupid trying to reconstruct a NAND, if you dont get matching dumps you shouldnt proceed. been said many many times.

i'm not bashing your work or disrespecting you, I think that its a great piece of code, but how can you be sure that you are making a good nand image with it?

what do you have to compare your reconstructed image to? too many IF's in the equation for my liking.

if you are dumping $#!t you are reconstructing $#!t and flashing $#!t and could lead to more problems later down the line for some people

you shouldnt make it seem ok to have dumps that dont match, it's not ok!!

i had issues dumping NANDS before also, only slight differences but chose to perfect my setup rather than run the risk of f***in up a customers xbox.

all i see are posts of noobs saying help i didnt get matches but i flashed anyway!!

apps like this give false security and the sense that this app will save their xbox when in some cases i'm sure it wont.
