1001  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / unable to unbrick liteon 7495 on: March 22, 2010, 05:42:21 PM
as topic states tried to flash a liteon 7 with latest 1.1 LT, flashed tons and tons of liteons with my setup with not a single problem until tonight

JF flash froze during write as it does sometimes on my via 6421 card

rebooted into dos to do l-o-eras, but drive is not detected at all

dosflash doesnt see it either which is strange coz even with it in bricked state dosflash usually sees it as unknown controller

PC freezes when i attach it in windows, or when i try to boot PC so cannot check bios to see if it is there

no burns etc no power cables inserted wrong etc no idea what happened as it i have had JF freeze quite a few times during write and i have just ran l-o-eras in dos to unbrick it.

any1 have any ideas?

cheers

1002  Xbox 360 / Xbox 360 General Discussion / Re: USB SPI Flasher Buy/Sell Thread on: March 21, 2010, 04:17:00 PM
Hello,

i think all spi flasher based on the diagram found on xbhbbs have almost the same preformances

about 25min i think, but i never count exactly for the first 66mo of a jasper 256/512

about 6min for a 16mo.

only flasher like the olimex lpc2148 have mutch better performance.

when i meant " different concept", i was talking adout the integration of the flash in the left of the xbox. i also had the LED data Wink

cheers Wink

tidy, i like it!!

how much?

lol of course diode polarity is important do you even know what a diode is!!

it allows current to pass in one direction and not in the other, if it is in the wrong orientation it will not work!!

where in gods name are you researching? xbox-scene??

black side facing mobo and solder it direct to the 360 mobo!!
1004  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / Re: Jasper 256 E71 Issues on: March 21, 2010, 04:10:43 PM
on BB nands the remapped blocks do not start at 3FF the same way as SB if i remember correctly, cant remember the correct block perhaps someone will remind me but that may be your issue if not forget my input!!

1006  Xbox 360 / XboxHacking - General / Re: Jasper 512 Jtagged - Turn on problem on: March 20, 2010, 09:46:30 AM
BB Jaspers and Zephyrs have wierd issues on bootup with ROL board many others have discussed this previously.
1007  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / Re: Cannot read, write, or erase block B9 on: March 20, 2010, 04:27:49 AM
all you had to do was move the blocks within your XBR image nothing new there!!

bad blocks can and do happen, no need to pull your hair out next time read up a bit this has been covered in many tutorials i have read.

no need to hammer the nand trying to read a bad block, it will never give you any useable info, the info for that block has been moved to a good block, as degraded shows.

in your orig nand image the blocks were already moved (again degraded showed this!!), you simply had to read the two bad block locations in XBR.bin and remap them to where degraded says they are

eg

read bad blocks

nandpro XBR.bin: -r16 0xB9.bin 0xB9 1
nandpro XBR.bin: -r16 0x2A2.bin 0x2A2 1

write bad blocks

nandpro XBR.bin: -w16 0xb9.bin 0x3FF 1
nandpro XBR.bin: -w16 0x2A2.bin 0x3FE 1

and write to xbox

nandpro lpt: -w16 XBR.bin

simples!!

now that you have functional dash i would suggest moving the blocks in your XBR image then use 360flash to update the flash to correct image too avoid any nand errors.
1008  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / Re: liteon 9 detection/status problem. on: March 18, 2010, 03:20:57 AM
same, switch was 3 way i kept putting it to wrong side, thought on was the same side the two wires were soldered to, turns out it is the opposite side.

took me an hour to figure it out and i had soldered & desoldered it all several times too!!

you will find that it is against the forum rules - hence why the post has been moved to the dumpster section. surprised it isnt locked by now.

your advertising illegal activities, last time i checked it was still illegal to sell consoles modified to circumvent copy protection, no wonder ebay has banned you. we do not want our forum being scrutinised 4either so please understand why we do not like posts like these, they bring unwanted attention.

microsoft employees read these forums regularly, so i wouldnt be surprised if you get a wee letter or knock on the door from UK trade people or similar. talk about stupid!! lmfao!!

your not the only member doing this of course, but at least the rest of us are smart enough to keep it quiet, no need to come on and brag about the fact you are making money out of other peoples hard work.

modding is a personal thing, not a commercial one, we are all on to learn about hacking, not to compare profits.

this is a hacking forum not a bst best take it elsewhere b4 arakon sees it lol

and your a complete ripoff m8 i sell them for much less than that £200 for an arcade? lol i bet argos got a hammering with their £99 offer that is just over.

£100 for a jtag mod? ridiculous price.
1011  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / Re: "Error: 0 reading block 0:" with special jtag pcb util on: March 17, 2010, 12:26:26 PM
flash config is all wrong look at your wiring

all great using a buffered unit but if you cant solder for $#!t it wont perform a miracle for you.
1012  Xbox 360 / XboxHacking - General / Re: missing caps under gpu/cpu (Falcon)? can anyone confirm? on: March 17, 2010, 10:42:12 AM
i noticed when i got it that the previous owner must have tried cleaning it with something that left a residue.

that white resdue is present in most consoles, i have seen a hundred with it, most consoles had bever been opened before.

its most likely fine dust.
1013  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / Re: Error 0002 - Need Help on: March 17, 2010, 03:21:26 AM
I would say CPU needs reflow/reball, i have just gone from 0022 - 0002 by cutting strips of rubber around the edge of the CPU, i haven't reflowed it yet. (im not going to refow with rubber) does your chip look like its lifting a little on the edges?

your fixable 0022 has now been f***ed to a 0002 with your lame mod.

you should have just reflowed the 0022 and it would have fixed, compressing it has caused a short under the GPU.
1014  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / Re: Error 0002 - Need Help on: March 17, 2010, 03:20:04 AM
0002 is a complete bridge underneath CPU/GPU and can ONLY be recovered with a REBALL, reflow is useless.
1015  Xbox1 (original) / Xbox1 General / Re: Xbox mod without action replay? on: March 17, 2010, 03:18:56 AM
yeah that kinda goes without saying man. You google Softmod and see how far you get....what i am looking for is for a apecific up to date guide. i do not wish to wade through the years of trial and error of other peoples attempts.

pull your head out of your ass man

first hit i got on google search was the answer you needed

your problem is you are too lazy to look.

stop feeding this troll guys if he cant use a f***ing google search then hes not worth the effort.

1017  Research & Technical XboxHacking (Xbox 360) / Software (TECHNICAL) / Re: Remove Game/App from Gamescore List? on: March 17, 2010, 03:15:16 AM
you can tryto remove it using profile editors etc but IIRC you cannot remove them only f*** about with achievements etc

you can salvage your gamesaves from the hdd, then format the hdd and recover your gamertag on a clean retail console then reload your saves onto the hdd.

if you are stupid enough to load homebrew on a live profile then you need a good slap!
1018  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / Re: e73 with a slight difference on: March 17, 2010, 03:12:31 AM
reflow the southbridge and surrounding area

check the ethernet port that all pins are not touching etc
1019  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / Re: Does popcorn effect/blisters mean the chip is dead? on: March 17, 2010, 03:10:43 AM
GPU is dead, dont boder trying with mosfets and other stuff. If you can, get a GPU from a dead board that you know the GPU was good, and replace the one with "Blisters", you will be good to go.

if he cant gently heat the GPU enough to reflow it, he has NO CHANCE of sucessfully lifting a GPU without killing it.

0003 is a catastrophic bridge under the GPU, as others have indicated, its game over for that GPU.

Send it to someone who can do it correctly, they will be able to lift the GPU and set a new one in, seen new ones go for about $15
1020  Xbox 360 / Xbox 360 General Discussion / Re: Poblème To Make A Backup Games ...with hitachi 0078fk on: March 17, 2010, 03:05:47 AM
I did many rips with wxripper, until I realized the value of pulling the security information off the actual disk, switched to my old ms28 I had around, faster, smoother, cleaner

your statement pretty much covers it, without the security info then the backup is useless IMHO especially if you wish to use live.

using live with backups is always a risk but doing so with wxripper images is stupid and suicidal for your console so therefore you shouldnt really be offering that information without explaining the risks fully either.
