ahh... problem is this isn't lead coating it's a board protective coating(sorry forgot the name) ...it is all lead free solder, already on the board.
so it has to be a bit hotter to mend your wire.
your soldering a wire to that point right? not the diode?
and don't hold it on to long...if it don't mend your tip isn't clean...and are you using about a pinhead amount of flux?
it will clean the area as you heat down the wire......let the wire slip down the tip to hit the trace...that wires heat is sufficient enough to heat/mend the wire to the trace...

oh don't worry johnnyblaze1978...with a pin-tip soldering iron you be fine...you have to if you want to succeed...
just think, parts are even smaller then those now days....
oh and as a mag glass 3X-5X's should be enough for you...if you don't wear glasses for reading or anything....

what don't you reflash the whole backup 512 you made back to it...it is after it tried to update right? and then read the nand?

your problem might be it's trying to update the dash and trying to update the game title (TU)....
something along that line....what do you have to loose....
what dash was in it. maybe because you erased what temp info it had cached in it ...
try different dashes was it 2.0.8496.0 the orig dash...also remember make sure you use a cd that can be read(that you know works) and a low memory usb stick...512mb or less....
also try to extract the first 16mb of your nand(from your copy first then try the on board nand) to see what info it shows in flashtool
when you open flash tool you might have to untick 1bl in the keys menu...it worked for 2 peeps already to get the basic info -dvd key
but the basic info is what you want:)


+ i didn't want to say this but m$ had it's odds of a 360 trashing somewhere on a update and had to be sent back to them..
  this is why they honor the repair for it...but you popped it open so that deletes that out...lol

as far as i do know about the drive being flashed is the timing response (we were using a fixed timing)..which was a bad thing at the time .but didn't know it) also at one time the abgX database was mending the wrong files and such...
best way in the long run,because a ban can happen whenever, is to run 2 consoles...1 legit for online and 1 for homebrew or just drive modded to play your backups you made from your originals.....

no, 12 volt fan mod is a good thing.....it won't hurt it...I solder and weld...so i build my own copper blocks
but more noise cooling the antifreeze down....so now i am jumping back into Thermoelectric Cooler Peltier for the 360...
