any USB port.
i can't find flash360 on xbins found it like...OMG!!! lol thank you thank you thank you! so i guess now that xellous loaded and showed me the keys and the ip and i was able to get in there and download all my special info files. now i can start using the new stuff? another noob question: when i boot it up for normal use do i boot with eject or the normal method? also regarding my network connection, is there a way to disable connecting to xboxlive? I don't want a friend playing to connect and fudge my system. i know enouph myself not to but a friend or guest playing might click into it not knowing. Or would it be easier to simply disconnect the cable until it's needed? {normal method}..yep power button {network connection} unplug net cable ...sign in to your profile by clicking on your gamer tag box/avatar, it will show couldn't sign in. press cancel and your gamer tag box/avatar will show (disconnected xbox live) now your signed into your hard drive:) click on your your gamer tag box/avatar,within this menu, click on profile,within this menu,click auto-sign-in,within this menu,untick live/msn to disable auto sign in..now you know your signed into your hard drive only. on occasion it will ask to sign in(first boot/and xbl content)just click cancel and you will be fine..... (remember if your using a router you can block the 360's ip wan access,so it would only connect to your local network(pc,routers inside house) or as you said, disconnect the cable until it's neededok now i am winging you off...lol you are free to fly..lol naaaaa. happy homebrewing please make all donations to XbH and post in the approximate section

then it sure as hell ain't 6 mF, that cap would be at least the size of a AA battery.
And if he read the capacitance metre correctly, unless he desodered it from the board, he was measuring the total capacitance of the entire circuit network at that point. Not just the cap.
- Blackaddr
Whoops thats what i did... totally slipped my mind that i had to either cut traces to it or remove it ... i had resister in mind and i still used the cap setting on my fluke. Sorry about that man. ReverseAffect you can laugh at me now na dude ..it's all good not a problem... ha ha he he ho ho ho lol lmao ,ahhhhhh.. erm, i am lol at this move that's on? ya that's it...lol glad you helped him and got it done.... that's the good part about this forum...we all can post and compare and help each other(in a reasonable manor).and man it's better because when where alone doing stuff and can't think at the time or come up with a end result in out minds,this forums kills half that battle of that...plus more....and makes it easier ...)...... till next time , peace...

Xbox 360 / Xbox 360 General Discussion / Re: Newbie........I know nothing about consoles

Hi Al
Bit of a tricky one really.
It is possible hack the xbox so that you can copy games to hard drive and make them region free, however there are a few big things to bear in mind:
1) The hack (jtag hack) only works on 360s with an older firmware revision, given you have just bought a 360 it is unlikely you will have an exploitable console;
2) Even if you do have an exploitable console the jtag hack involves opening the box and soldering. If you don't have any experience soldering I really wouldn't recommend it, although you could pay someone else to do it for you;
3) If you do the hack you definitely can't use the console on Xbox Live.
Assuming the above is a no go then all I can suggest is to buy another similar game for your son, although I appreciate if he has his heart set on Hail to the Chimp that could be hard. Or to see if the PS3 version is region free and try to return the 360.
Regards
Utar
althemusicwizard, read this post and this time let it sink in??? all the info you need for now is within this post....

i'm writing in the xbr now, i'll keep yas updated on my progress
*update* alrighty it loaded up xell and i think i got the fuses, crapy camera. so i put 3 and 5 together or 4 and 6 to get my cpu key? do i just try both in what program? had a bit of a scare there, when i booted up the second time i got rrod but i shut it down and booted up again and i got xell again. so i'm confused about the steps, do i try updating xell as before or do i try the cd xexloader method first?
yes now take it from the you have to burn xexloader.iso in my post... and 3 and 6 is the key and 4 and 5 is the key......so either one.....

flash back the orig you had...the clean secdata and restore your profile from live or another 360.... then you have to reload all bought content back to the hd..it's free if you bought it to re-download...as for the saves you better of backed them up...
how did you check the nand for this only 1 secdata?

crimpshrine, point is he never made a copy...he flashed xbr kv and config to the nand so that = no orig nand copy..
he prob did the extract kv config straight from the nand only....without saving the nand in xell he flashed xbr... it ain't a question of keys..it's him missing his 64mb nand(orig)

General / General Discussion (non-Xbox) / Researchers Crack 3G Network Encryption
|
on: February 04, 2010, 11:32:04 AM
|
http://www.gearlog.com/2010/01/researchers_crack_3g_network_e.phpJust two weeks after researchers broke the encryption inherent to GSM networks comes word that another team has cracked 3G encryption. The attack takes just a few hours on a typical PC, reports Ars Technica. That's enough time to crack 3G's KASUMI system, which is based on a simplified type of Fiestel encryption called MISTY (pictured; good luck with that.) MISTY uses multiple keys and a recursive, multi-round encryption process. The "simplified" KASUMI algorithm was supposed to make it "faster and more hardware-friendly" without compromising security. But as the report indicates, it seems that's no longer the case. This doesn't mean that every AT&T and T-Mobile cell phone is suddenly insecure; a research environment is very different than the real world. But it's food for thought nonetheless. what is this going to be cracking year...lol

i am sure you orig nand didn't have CB0=6723 your reading that from xbr you flashed for the jasper didn't you?
and skipping part of a important step to get your keys and info is just wrong..... flash xell to the nand and get your keys if you don't have them... as for the nand, good luck with that..... and you don't need 256mb you only need 64mb(system area) the rest is the mu(onboard user save space)

Hardware revision: xenon Software version: CB1888, dash revision: I think it was in the 6XXX's (had the old dash with blades) JTAG: diodes bad block: None nand flashed with nandpro LPT and verified 100% match console never repaired. never rrod'd before xbr flash
First boot after flash booted up correctly its just on random boots it boots straight to 3ROD (0020) and a simple reboot or 2 fixes it. I would assume this is some kind of software error or the 360 would probably stay in 3rod permanently until the 360 would be reflowed or towel tricked if it were a hardware error
no it's not a software error at all... or hardware...it's the way we wire up the jtag(something ain't draining right on shutdown and re-power-up by letting it sit for a bit the 'something' let's its charge go or clears out,as long at were booting were ok ..this is not a major flaw...so get over it..it took 5 years to get here...now it's time to level out and fine tune the small flaws.....with in time..... don't worry sir you have a bad injector,we are just running it to try to hunt down the bad injector<get the hint...lol

nah i was busting.... i was the one who helped him but it definitely didn't have a charge the board was sitting in a bin for months so i don't know why i got that reading.
i have caps that hold a charge for years so far.....but you may be right...this might be a custom thing they use to bring each unit up to par as in best video when there checking the signal before they ship it out... who knows.... oh and i owe you one...lol

can't, Fluke is a good meter.....i used something that worked...he did to,but forgot to cut the trace or pull the cap(most meters including fluke can't handle the standby or leftover charge in the cap and have to be lifted off the board or 1 + pin pulled and discharged before checked even smc's and i meant i want to lol as a joke...jeese...
