it was known that the Efuse (info) was sent to the box first, to accept the new dash so it will boot...
you can try to update using a usb stick with the 8955 dash or what ever the game was looking for
you might get lucky and it will try to read the info from the stick....(can't loose out for trying)

see... windows 8 is mine...this is why i am not releasing it.....and i am not releasing the new cpu spec's of my watch(hi-tech I spy $#!t) CPU...lol
and you don't see le_uberfry...crying when he released all the erm new-comers on this site...do ya....
all jokes aside ,le_uberfry very good point you set out

Basically I'm asking if anyone knows if the modified firmware check occurs when 8955 is installed or if it occurs when you connect to LIVE
both...the check is installed in the dash(hence the dash update)...then when you go on live it sends out the info...
most that alter there dvd drive FW will be flagged and ban.....you play you pay....
now unless someone from M$(in the checking for hacked fw) does get fired and leaks out info no one will ever know the true steps of checking.....

I asked him what it would cost in Rupees. Im still waiting for a response.
Edit: Which is roughly 50.5 million Ruppees. That alot of collecting in Zelda games.

In my own defense, I had held back on it because I had been messing with it for days and didn't have a desire to potentially mess it up given there were people having issues with it.
We get a lot of people here who try and say all sorts of things while having (read/write)problems, so i understand why you left that part out, but the people who made XBR know their stuf so if they write that in the readme you should put it in... Not writing the config sector can/will give you a lot of errors later on, thing about 2 xboxes with the sam mac adress in the same network for a simple example Glad you got it fixed now  Heh, but it's only the beginning it seems. Now the 360 appears to have a GPU problem..... Bastard on ebay said it'd run games for a few hours before sending it out... I am not sticking up for the seller but, just shipping alone can jerk the console around enough to bring up a problem when opened and fired up...seen that with a few boxes..a solder-ball was scraping a pad and lost it's connection..but doing the X-clamp mod cure it and has been running since...with snugging up the GPU screws after it's normal heat up and before a shut down..... this has been done to 9 of my boxes....(just to see whats up) |

Yeah i knew about the CPU, but thanks for mentioning it. And thanks for confirming! Now i just have to find a box with the GPU i need... Woould be nice to finally get a jtagged box to play with. if your using IR heat to re-ball make sure you pulsate the heat....this way it won't warp on a re-mend to the mobo |

such a pain to solder the wire to some points <are you whining? and it's a worse pain when you short something out from not knowing how to solder and not using the proper setup... Them lpt spots are pretty big compared to some other spots on a 360..... and if your soldering anything besides a Xenon ,good luck with that, look at the DB1F1 spot,want to talk about small:P
