ok well...get Xtreme Boot Maker (36 version !) - tick both options and ignore the warnings at the start...make it go to C:\ drive (at the bottom).  Get the HP format utility (http://files.extremeoverclocking.com/file.php?f=197) and the 98 boot files and make yourself a bootable USB...then go to C:\XBF\ and grab mtkflash.exe and mtkflash.typ and put those on your bootable USB.  Boot that and it should start...then type in mtkflash just as a test.  If you get that far your good to go

well first I say use Dosflash...second to me (I could be wrong) but it sounds like you have the new BenQ (635 something iirc) where the flash chip is actually 512kb instead of 256kb

lol I think he was saying it in the sense of "something along the lines of a pandoras battery" as in something (e.g a disk) could set it into a special mode...which there probably is but where not going to know about ever unless it appears in a repaired unit.  Overall, I think everyone (the big guys at the top included) have put alot of thought etc into this as in getting it into some kind of a mode but I just don't think it's possible without some kind of a pandoras disk    iirc the closest thing I can think of that is like this was the fact that you could put a 360 into a state which it was like at the factory (iirc...) which wasn't anything usefull

wrong size...definitely not - i've never had one of these personally but people are saying it works fine with dosflash 1.6 (maybe even try 1.5 )...and use the 16 bit version also if I didn't say that...try that and post back, if it doesn't work specifiy exactly what your doing

right....on your VIA card use the middle port on the inside.  Use Xtreme Boot Maker (36 version) to make you a custom hex edited mtkflash....tick both options.  Make a bootable whatever, go to C:\XBF\ and copy over mtkflash.typ and mtkflash.exe to your bootable whatever.  Turn off your PC, hook up everything (make sure you got your ground cable hooked up) - turn on your PC and boot your bootable whatever, turn on your 360 and type mtkflash r orig.bin...it should come up with Xtreme Primary Master: x (where x is your number...usually 1).  At this point turn off your 360, press x (x being your number) then turn on your Xbox 360 and it should start reading...then you can go from there.  Post back

I just realized...now just after I sent you the e-mail...do the exact same as I said just use Dosflash 1.6 Beta and don't use the magic stuff (you have a 63520D).  The firmware I sent you is still perfect for it, exactly what you need so no need to change anything there

sure you can do it with the NForce chipset but you will probably need a VCC switch which means soldering...

nono not saying everything is "legit" exactly like that, i'm trying to say if you do use it...use it at your own risk and also that certain "things" will be logged locally (SECDATA.BIN) and this log is sent to M$ every time you connect to XBL so...if you don't get banned you may get logged awaiting a ban and if not all good...but the risk is always there.  If you speed you might get a speeding ticket, you might not - you decide what outcome there will be

nope can't do it in dos (as in dos dos...not cmd) - it should not be flashing when you start it up without doing any modeB "tricks"...if you can't get your drive into modeB then the only option you have left is to get the drive dumped externally and re-programmed PM if interested

Save your self the time and go get a VIA PCI SATA card from eBay....you can get one for about $13AU inc shipping ... then use Xtreme Boot Maker (36 version) to make you a custom hex edited mtkflash and you will be laughing
