jeeeeez???......my last and only thought is bad solder joint somewhere I mean, no idea - put it this way - at least you can re-flash another drive if need be (as in...it's already working with a BenQ and if you really want, you can grab another Lite-On and flash it if you really must). It's one of those strange things you just can't explain  Embarrassed

It's an Oz place but (http://www.ludogaming.com.au/xbox-360/cases/cat_17.html)....i'm sure they'd ship to you if you really needed it (there also on eBay if you need that "extra comfort")

modify's been there always....seriously do what Arakon said and use 0603's (well, if you can solder) - I use them and have no problems at all.

I got my last batch (100 Blue for...$20AU inc postage iirc) from eBay...just search 0603 SMD Led and it should come up with something

your drive effectively "has no brain" (don't worry it can be fixed  Smiley) - personally....i'd go into DOS and run l-o-erase then run dosflash and proceed from there...you may need to try a few times before dosflash detects it...

don't bother...the heatgun is no good if you don't know how to use it (same with a car)

your going to need to use dvdkey anyway.....(well an RS232), after you have grabbed your key then made your firmware in jungleflasher (my preference), THEN you can run lite on erase (l-o-erase iirc, I renamed mine) then run dosflash and flash your hacked firmware (or keep trying 10 second trick on a lite-on XD  Cheesy)

NTSC is NTSC (U/J whatever who cares)
PAL is PAL
Region Free is Region Free

end of story....shouldn't be a problem if your backing-up your own games  Roll Eyes

well I always use dos personally, sounds like you do (or have tried it for that matter) - but as for anything else...i'm stumped...provided you haven't changed anything since you have done the previous Lite-On ?

You see, if you said you hadn't done one before i'd say well remove all your drives, bios etc etc...but as you have Huh
