I work with PC's alot...in actual fact your making your box hotter ...slightly... when it's all sealed up and everything the fans suck, but when it has an opening the fans are still sucking but they aren't working well after a certain point (in this case where the gaping hole is!). Think about it then test it out with your computer (if you don't know what your doing then don't attempt it) - a good test is set up temp monitoring (or watch it in the BIOS for like 30min) , leave the side of the computer off and test, next day turn it on with the side on and take a look at the temps!

I don't understand what your asking for? If it's not reading originals (assuming you only want to restore the original firmware) then back up the firmware on the drive, insert your key (just do it via hex editing properly (otherwise it will not work) then restore that firmware. Done, now it's an original drive, but if you want hacked firmware or you are going to run into e66 then read and read and don't come back until you have read all of xboxscene.com and here! gigabite

Nope, you have to do it yourself. I do this mod (and lots of other - contact me if you want it done:D) take a look in the modding section what I did (someone renamed it to modified ring of light I think).

Ok peeps things are getting confusing so from here I think we should report like this...:
Xbox DVD Drive: Have You Opened Your Xbox?: Have You Modified Your DVD Drives Firmware?: What Firmware Are You Using?: How Did You Make It?: Do You Connect To XBL?: Have You Downloaded The Fall Update?: "Y" Line Of Code You Get:
So Mine is like this: Xbox DVD Drive: Samsung ms25 Have You Opened Your Xbox?: Yes Have You Modified Your DVD Drives Firmware?: No What Firmware Are You Using?: How Did You Make It?: Do You Connect To XBL?: No Have You Downloaded The Fall Update?: Yes (via DVD) "Y" Line Of Code You Get: 0000 - 0000
We will all know soon what happens with what...i'll be modifying my DVD drive soon (and actually properly connecting to my computer/i'm having some trouble with the ***** but I have done it before!)

Don't use the Sam hack stuff, it doesn't work properly. Restore your drive with original firmware, then (making sure you have backups of the key) reflash it with Xtreme 4.2 (A for fast reading back ups (more noise) B for slower reading of back ups (less noise)). When your re flashing it and you have the original firmware file...put it in the same folder where Xtreme 4.2 is. Then use make42A (or B) to make your final hacked firmware with your key (this will work and you will not get any errors even after fall update!). Come back and report!

When : Network Adapter Is Wired/IP Address Is Confirmed and DNS Failed (I did, System Blade, Network Settings, Test Xbox Live Connection) it gives these codes (when I click More Info on the DNS part - if it makes a difference :p):
W: 0000 - 000B X: 0001 - 0005 Y: 0000 - 0000 Z: 8015 - 1903
I will check what codes it gives me when I am connected properly (with firewall etc disabled). Then after about a week when I get my pci sat card I'll do the same test and tell you what I got!!

Hi everyone, just looked on eBay for a power brick (I need 220v) and I only found one thing but I don't know if it's dead or alive (so I emailed him) anyway, I would like to know where I can get a replacement one? Apparently I heard that M$ sells them brand new for $90 (is that Australian?) how would I go about getting a replacement one either from M$ or wherever (IT MUST BE 220v not 110 I live in Australia!!). Any help would be much appreciated, thanks

EDIT: I already know I can use a PC power supply but I want a genuine Xbox 360 power supply
