Well I only suggested it, I didn't say go right now and heat gun it because you have to do what I told you...I also suggested it because I have boxes come in with this problem - regardless I believe (I can't be sure) your problem is not with the update..if you don't like what I suggested go complain to someone else

I've actually written down one of my ideas and how it could possibly work (I learn Xbox 360 not maths in school XD lol)...my idea is making my own "repair/mod chip" which will allow you to use any dvd drive with the wrong key...I do have a very good idea of how I could do it (there a couple of parts where I think maybe that's not possible) but I can't post it all now because I gotta go to school soon

As of recent research I did today (all those people with DVD drive not opening problem (with perfectly working DVD drives) ) it is because the fan duct tunnel has been warped. Earlier signs of this may include scratching of your disks.. (fixed a box today with this problem)...what this has to do with this thread is that...NEVER EVER blow air INTO >>> your 360, think...cool air in gets warmer and warmer, but where does it have to escape...no where, so it gets hotter and hotter and causes other problems along the way (warping of plastic...yes it does get that hot!!). As for Burn's pic...PSU doesn't suck air out of the pc (that's not it's main function) it's to cool the huge caps and stuff (they get really hot...example look at Xbox 1 PSU's with heat sinks on them). What I would do is change it so that the fan you have going in (rear fan) is taking out hot air. You will get better performance gigabite

I use some needle nose pliers, I grab the bit which grips around the leg twist (like your getting a crack out of your wrist) it left then right then twist left again and pull up at the same time and it will come off gigabite

^^ Yeah I was going to suggest it but it's a big job and you need to be skilled and have the right equipment to do it properly, give TMF (TeamMODFREAKz) a PM about re-balling your GPU he will do an excellent job however if it doesn't get fixed it could be a problem other than the GPU

ah yes forgot that Arakon...well at least we can use gdfimage to create single layer back ups for Xbox 1, because wasting a dual layer just isn't right...it's acceptable for a 360 game though I believe. So to get single layer back ups using a "Qwix" type tool you would have to compress all the video (the tool would) then compress game files without modifying them then take out or modify the single layer checks on the disks (so now i'm confused - the difference (in short) between x4.2 and x5's is that they can boot single layer Xbox games but not Xbox 360 games without the computer cracking part of the single layer protection on the disk itself?)

First you made me laugh, then you made me say ouch...you tilted the console while it was still spinning (just to let everyone know while the game is not playing in the console while it's in the dash the disk is still spinning at a low speed but you still can cause scratches while tilting)...though it's funny you post something like this because I have a machine which I just received which has almost the same problem, it goes to open then shut's itself (the tray doesn't come out at all - so cog spins forward then back as if button was pressed twice quickly) then if I do it again it opens..I will work on it today but I do have some homework and stuff to do..I think this is happening because the dvd drive has not been set in the console properly but I am also going to pull this particular dvd drive apart as it scratches disks (so the owner says) gigabite EDIT: Just a sec is that M$ sticker still enact?? If so send it back to M$ mate

Hi mate, had the exact same thing...trick is to wait a long time (I think I had to wait for about 30 seconds before they showed), wait along time and if you don't get them after say 2 minutes then there is something wrong.

last night I was talking to one of the member on this board and he said that the Winja code had been leaked (it could have been for another chip I'm not 100% sure but i'm pretty sure he said it was for the Winja if I rember correctly) and he showed me it (on MSN)...I'll have to confirm with him if it was Winja code as I can't remember but if it's true then were going to have a lot of cheap mods ! ^^ correct about that (it'd be understandable if m$ was an Australian company though...) I live in Australia and have seen nothing of the such, I believe (like Arakon said) that that's a custom job (it looks like one im doing right now : p except mine has windows etc)...proof of this (could be the photo but) look at the ring on the ring of light, the clear bit, looks like a tiny bit of paint has gotten on it (at the bottom)...I don't think M$ will release a black version of the 360 (also to note, wheres the photo of the back, for some mysterious reason there is not one!)...I think that they will go clear as in clear like crystal x box's (personally just pure clear is not very nice to me - with or without lights)...now to paint my front panel (stupid plastic bits that hold stuff on)

You see chipping the console is the easy part (no I don't actually know how to do it but i'm assuming it's fairly easy from pics ive seen), the hard part is making the back-ups. Yes there are tools etc but until they progress a little I don't think there is much point in chipping your Wii unless you can make a back-up without to much hassel
