Apply boke's ms 28 patch in XBM and when you get to : Xtreme Primary Master 1 (you may have more options) turn the 360 off...DO NOT wait 10 seconds as you don't need to code 70 is displayed straight after power on...power on the 360 and hit 1 at the same time...EXACT SAME TIME!! one finger on the 360 one finger on 1

2202  Xbox 360 / XboxHacking - General / Re: MS28 dead / Bricked? on: February 26, 2007, 04:02:25 PM
Did you ground your 360???  If not you might have possibly fried the Elite MT chip - which can be repaired (look for one of my threads) as this happens when you don't ground it...symptoms are things like no eject, e65 etc but you could just have a loose cable inside...when you say one red light do you have the secondary code - (copy from xboxscene) ):

    * Turn the xbox 360 on, and wait till the 3 red lights are flashing.
    * Press and hold the sync up button (the small white one), while holding that button press the eject button.
    * The LEDs will now blink the first number in the code (as described below).
    * Release the eject button and press it again.
    * The LEDs will now blink the second number of the code.
    * Release the eject button and press it again.
    * The LEDs will now blink the third number of the code.
    * Release the eject button and press it again.
    * The LEDs will now blink the forth number of the code.
    * Release the eject button and press it again.
    * The LEDs will go back to the 3 red flashing lights.

You should be able to determine the difference between the 3 flashing lights and the error code lights by the rate in which they flash.

Here is how you interpret the LEDs to get the code number:

    * All four lights flashing - 0
    * One light flashing - 1
    * Two Lights flashing - 2
    * Three lights flashing - 3

OPA Huh saccorator is a nice guy, I mean I think he has been pretty calm through out this situation...if I didn't get my drive back after an age i'd be pretty annoyed...i guess there isn't much anyone can do unless they personally see OPA every day : p sorry for your lose mate (R.I.P saccorator drive, may you lay in coasters upon coasters) Smiley

I thought people figured out all this e66 stuff along time ago before Jan update - it's pretty simple if you getting e66 it's because the FW/ROM version of the drive you currently have in your console does not match the one M$ original signed to your console...spoof FW/ROM version as the drive M$ assigned your console and there ya go no more e66.  Firmware spoofing can be done super easy in firmware toolbox (as opposed to the old hex editor)...I personally don't have the latest Jan update (as you might see one of my threads) I downloaded it from xbox.com, i'm having problems with it also a friend is having exact same problem

2206  Xbox 360 / Xbox 360 General Discussion / General ideas/opinions on cooling mods on: February 25, 2007, 05:50:57 AM
Hi guys just wanted to know your opinions on cooling mods, on my own console I have ceramique (better version of as5 made by same people), 12v fans, added an extra fan to the front of the CPU (40mm flat running at 12v) and put foil onto of the gpu and covered all the exposed fins on the CPU with foil as well...I noticed the CPU (this is while i'm playing PGR 3 with the case of and the mesh round the fans cut off) was barely warm and after I turned the console off I felt the GPU and it seemed quite hot as apposed to blisteringly hot - the underside of the DVD drive was quite warm to.  The air out of the back was cooler than toasty (I was playing for around ahh 2-3 hours), I also taped up any "leaks" around the foil etc...just like to know what you guys have done and if you think it made any difference Wink

2207  Xbox 360 / Xbox 360 General Discussion / Can't update the console on: February 25, 2007, 12:27:32 AM
Hey guys, downloaded the OS updates from xbox.com and the backwards compatibility one as well.  The backwards compatibility ones works perfect no problems but the system update one wont even start because I keep getting mixed media disk.  I tried 4 different brands of CD/DVD's (single layer not DL) but still nothing, I tried adding a junk file so maybe the console can pick it up but still nothing.  I have tried about 12 DVD's and I think 5 CD's (DVD-R DVD-RW CD-R CD-RW), I burned them how xbox.com said (as apposed to with Nero like I did with the other disk) still dosen't work.  I tried through Nero with the system update and it still dosen't work....basically nothing works for the systems update and I do not have an XBL account so I can't download the updates.  This is my own console and I have tweaked the laser on it so it reads well, I do have my HDD attached and I have tried everything and I can't think of anything else and i'm not going to waste a DL to add a 6mb file to it and then find out that that also dosen't work...any ideas ??

Your key is wrong...or the key was lost...that's why it's giving you the "to play this game please put it in a 360 console" - note that if the key is wrong (as Arakon said) back ups or originals will not boot, only DVD's - replacing the laser will not fix a lost key - if your still going to replace it regardless, try tweaking the laser before you replace it anyway

You can understand that OPA is a busy man atm especially since there are now 2 drives he has to work on (BenQ and 79FK).  But if you shipped your drive around or before Christmas and you still haven't got it now i'd just cut my loses and get a new drive mate.  I know it's tough but if you want I have a Samsung (and Hitachi 47) in top condition only used a couple of times which I could sell to you.  I could put a hacked firmware (so you can play burnt games) on the drive and your key on it also if you like, I also do Xbox/360 mods so if you like give me a PM Wink

Drop it on the ground (not from a huge hight) a couple of times while it's still on (without a game cause you don't want to break your game do you?)...or cover up all air vents and after the turns of keep turning it back on (it will keep shutting down) but eventually you will cause some type of damage.  Tip a small amount of liquid into it turn it on...fry it...then let it dry for a bit say it was a cold day and now your 360 won't turn on...your choice

Hey guys, just bought a black night and i'm a fan of lights and windows...I can cut super clean excellent windows but I have a bit of trouble adding the perspex.  Do you think that I should cut a window in it or just leave it as I have made a custom DVD drive lid - (I did this because I was creating a custom case but I didn't really like the paint so I threw it in the bin).  The whole case (plastic) is black right..as in it's not white then special black paint added? (cause if I cut it then i'll have a white outline where the window is)...opinions please
