There is a PS3 scene - http://www.ps3scene.com/ by same people who did xboxscene etc, it has some hacking going on but I do agree that a ps3hacker.net would be good

Lemon powered 360 haha, cool i'd like to see some of your case mods mate Wink Pablot I can't upload to youtube but I will upload them to photobucket if it's alright (in flv format) but the quality of it may make the XERC look like the timing of it pulsing to the leds is way off, anyway thanks guys Wink

Yes they are lemons in the first pic Cheesy  I know my pictures suck (they don't have a focus point - to much background crap) but you can't complain of the quality Wink btw robinsod great progress on 360 work currently

Alrighty so here are 2 vids...the first vid is AVI format and is 20mb - it shows all the effects the XERC CME SE 2 can produce minus the Vu-Meter...the second video is AVI format and is 90mb - it shows the Vu-Meter effect (i.e it pulses the led's to the music).  Pablot I haven't seen any 360's with the XERC installed, maybe you want to use them on your site (I can also provide you with the origional .vob files if need be)?? Cheers Wink

1926  Xbox 360 / Xbox 360 "Modding" / Re: anyone use the talismoon fan?? on: August 25, 2007, 02:32:03 AM
Yeapo I use the Tailsmoon Fan, the only difference i noticed was that it was in fact a little bit quieter (running at 12v in comparison to an MS fan)...I'm not sure if it actually technically provides more airflow (it says it does but you can't believe everything) - If your looking for the fans as an affect get them BUT...don't get them if you have other blue led's or blue led products as the led's (in the tailsmoon fan, im using blue) always look a hint brighter than your other led's or led products, I tried fixing this by adding the same led's I was using (same prob), I tried adding an extra resistor (still same prob) so I concurred that it was something to do with the actual plastic - I also removed the led's from mine but only cause they didn't match

1928  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / Re: Help to burn Xbox360 games on: August 23, 2007, 03:18:41 AM
Wrongo, you can simply use CloneCD...right what you really need to do is read, anyway...know assuming  you have the image of the game on your hard drive (whether it be from the scene or your own I really don't care) all you need to do is (well depending on what file extension it is..i.e RAR, ISO) put in your blank Dual Layer DVD (Verbatim!!), start CloneCD, choose write from image file (second button) select where the image is located, choose next, then burn (at 2.4x) Wink  Now...if you have a Samsung with Xtreme 5.3 downwards, your game will work fine (assuming the region is correct) - if you are using iXtreme (Samsung or Hitachi) then you need a drive which is capable of bit setting (i.e a Pioneer 111D, these are good drives and there cheap).

1929  Xbox 360 / Xbox 360 General Discussion / Re: pc drive laser+ xbox drive??? on: August 21, 2007, 03:43:13 AM
Yes it is possible to use one type of laser from a pc drive in an Xbox 360 drive, I don't know the exact laser but it's from a Samsung drive (possibly 616T, no idea - ? )

Hehe : p, well I can't give a tutorial right now as I have to go to school...i've since updated my Xbox 360 with more lights and window on dvd drive...I installed an XERC 2 in it and just uploading the vid on youtube (pablot  it's DVD quality origionally, compressed way down (only to fit on youtube), but maybe you want to use it on your site as I havn't seen any vids of 360's with an XERC installed)....basically I will tell you this, cutting the Black Night cases or any other non stock case is a bit harder because of the clear protection wich is like laminate...basically tools used for cutting were:
Dremel with the round little disks about as big as a 10cent piece (cutting wheel)
File
400 Grit Sandpaper (also able to use it wet, wich I did)
600 Grit Sandpaper (same thing)
Come on MSN or PM me if you want help Wink - will upload the pics and vids tonight here Cheesy!!!

So you have your key or you don't Huh  If you do use FW toolbox to insert it into a Hitachi 78 FW and flash that fw to the drive, now if you do not have the key you will need to get it from the old drive...depending on how bad it is you may be able to still hook it up and dump the firmware, get the key and use fw toolbox to put it into the new drive.  But if you are unable to hook the old drive up because it is to badly damaged then what you will need to do is de-soldered the SST chip and dump it with a programmer, get the key and use FW toolbox to do the rest.

By extending the fan duct I mean shaping a thin layer of metal so it covers the GPU heatsink and connects to the plastic of the fan duct...what Protonus said
Quote
extending the shroud over the GPU heatsink, and doing the air shroud divider as RJB tech designed

But instead of paper, I used metal

1934  General / General Discussion (non-Xbox) / PS3 Able To Play Burnt Blu-Ray's Via Exploit on: August 15, 2007, 05:06:59 AM
Hi guys, don't know if anyone here has heard/seen the news apparently an exploit has been found...it's a tiff exploit  -  what it involves...exact details on how to do this:

1. Put the .TIF on a USB
2. Put a game in the PS3. (i'm assuming he means back-up not original)
3. Insert the USB with the .TIF exploit and go to "Photo icon" ... let it load.
3. Try to start the game and it should just lock up.
4. Take the USB out and the game should continue loading.

I have the file/exploit if anyone is interested PM me - have a couple of reports of this working, not confirmed ...OneOhm I believe you have/work with PS3's mind trying this ?

First make sure it's in mode B properly, second try toolbox 4.0 as suggested - also i'd try Windows XP as what i've seen Vista is the cause of some errors

1938  Xbox 360 / Xbox 360 "Modding" / Re: Heatsink upgrades on: August 13, 2007, 04:30:24 PM
I actually found the when I "extended" the fan duct/tunnel things got much more hotter (DVD drive noticeably...hot)...on my set up (i've had my 360 for about 4-5months now...brand new...from stock to modded///was on stock everything untouched for 2 minutes literally) I have (this is what I have found to work best - cooling wise):
12v Tailsmoon Fans (I ran a test, they are actually noticeably more quieter)
12v 40mm Fan on the CPU
12v 20mm Fan (Xbox 1) under the DVD drive
Ceramique` (better than As5, exact same guys)
Now if I feel around everything even after 6-7 hours of play it's not blisteringly hot it's toasty..

every things always famous isn't it...famous red lights, famous overheating, famous motherboard...famous nothing!! Wink I find I have the same problem even on day old boxes, don't exit back to dashboard when the game is still loading, exit right out to the menu...then proceed to go to dash and take the game out.  I am assuming you mean when your exiting the game it sort of sounds like your slowing it down manually with your finger like zzzooow (yeah..i know..stupid :p)...
