Thanks to all the beta testers, everyone involved for without their effort this would not have been possible. Schrtom for Dosflash. Caster420 for firmtool. Keep up the good work everyone.
Note: The version is 1.1 due to internal changes, there was no public 1.0. Dosflash: The only way to read and flash a Benq drive is with DosFlash(info) 1.3. There is a support thread here to help with users experiencing problems. It is recommended to try the dos16 version first. It ONLY supports VIA and NFORCE sata chipsets. When using a VIA card, please be sure to disable both your IDE and/or SATA chipsets as they usually interfere with dosflash.

^^ WHAT ....I know you can convert a chip that starts with W...[I forgot sorry] to work like an SST chip, point being...JUST USE another SST chip same as origional on top and follow some tutorials - it's very easy i've done it many times...stop trying to split 1 chip into 2, there is no point !! (although it can be done, as said before) gigabite

Nonon hes askign wether he can split the chip into 2 seperate banks I belive...the answer would be: NO...unless you can compress the 256KB image down to 128KB AND find a way to split the chip into 2 banks [or find a way to get a bigger chip working, split the banks and walla]....just go for 2 SST chips, it's easier gigabite

Sorry I got the impression you flashed the firmware to the BenQ....if your getting e66 maybe I know why...you have spoofed it incorrectly (i.e you have a BenQ 64930C and you have spoofed it as a 62430C)?? Check the fw revision on the BenQ corresponds with the one in wich you have spoofed it as..If you spoofed it correctly I have no idea..

This is your problem So then I flash the firmware back to the BenQ(using DosFlash 1.3) and it doesn't work. You need to flash the firmware you made...to the Hitachi 78 drive : p !! gigabite

I have posted the exact order wich is fool proof (unless you have a bad card) at least 3 times this week...and what software you should use...use the search function mate...Xtreme Boot Maker (36 version)...on, finger on Xtreme Primary: x and on power, hit at exact time...flash... now you will find it gigabite

That's yoru problem Windows will NOT recongnise teh drive unless it has Xtreme or further on it because it has the special code in it wich makes Windows able to see teh drove and assign it a drive letter etc...have the drive plugged in on a SATA port....turn computer on and get to DOS prompt (making sure you have used Xtreme Boot Maker to make you a custom mtkflash wich is suitable for yoru chipset and chanel etc) run mtkflash w yourkeyandhackedfw.bin and under the list the drive should shwo up as Xtreme Primary Master: x (where x is your number, it is usually one...oh unplug EVERYTHING (IDE and SATA cables) except for your floppy drive).....turn off the 360...hold yoru finger on x (the number on the keyboard) and the 360's power....hit them at the exact same time and you'll be transported in time...not really...your drive will start flashing !! gigabite - read, use the search function...you havn't

He probably installed the switch to dump his fw to get the key...anywho, your problem is that the traces wich you cut aren't properly connected - re connect them with more solder or a piece of wire or metal form the end of an led/resistor etc and your problem will be fixed gigabite
