pirate !! : p kidding now....I and my customers, and my friends - have also experienced this problem HOWEVER I have narrowed it down to this....it only happens when you plug and old HDD from an old system into a new OR repaired system so conclusion, don't touch or move anything...but stay with Microsoft, oh and keep paying them to gigabite

when you get please insert your HD-DVD...turn off your Xbox 360, wait, turn it back on and you will have 4532 - you don't need the hd-dvd player

but redline....what would be the difference??....as apposed to using the DVD to activate it, and using the enable0800.bin (ONLY 0800 firmware....early Xtreme releases it's in) and then YOUR version ?

You just un-flexed the board...instead of going down your boards up - it's a non lasting fix...you might have screwed up the board when you pushed on the chips and heated it.....re-do it properly, evenly heat the WHOLE board then do the X-Clamp fix...12v fan mod and AS5 on CPU and GPU AND....use a special thermal epoxy to hold the chips TO the board, that'd be the absolute best way to go... I can only make suggestions only you can follow them

and this is a perfect example of why NOT to use $#!tty $#!t $#!t $#!t poop dog crap auto flashers (no offense to the creators, the idea was good...) the only thing I can suggest...it's pretty useless but go through the "key locations" manually with a hex editor (example theres more than one in the Hitachi 79s...sometimes for me fw toolbox doesn't pick up the key)"

650f....I do it at 600 c !! i'd at least go much hotter, check if you have any half fidely broken SMD caps and re-do your X-Clamp mods etc (you could also try a shim, don't just re-flow the GPU...re-flow the CPU and SB and RAM)

close down all your applications, make sure your drive has actually be assigned a letter and that it is the actual drive your trying to flash (not another DVD drive) - try using only numbers as a folder name

- cut those wires and solder them...eh...IMHO take a look at my set up...and if you really wanna prevent it (only if it's happened) do what Protonus - basically get some special thermal epoxy, and epoxy up all the BGA's
