I do appreciate the reply, but...
I don't understand why the PS3 got mentioned ? I was asking what cryptographic key he was talking about in the chip. And also where the private key is actually stored.
There's no private keys anywhere on the XBOX360 unit. And the PS3 hackers reversed the keys for that console using mathematics. It's not possible on the XBOX360 because the keys were "well generated". Since key pairs are used on everything in the XBOX360 security, they can keep the "private" key at the factory while having the "public" key on the machines for allowing them to "receive" the messages (in this case, the programs).

While this thread seems to have a dire, dire future I'll reply anyway.
What happened to the PS3 is very unlikely to happen with the XBOX360 for now as it's keys are properly generated using proper cryptographic techniques.
Only the public portion of the keypairs are stored on the XBOX360. The hackers on the PS3 scene used the public keys to derivate the private ones out of a cryptographic mistake committed by the signing authority (SONY itself).

By the way I checked with scope the pin 6 during the "handshake" (turning wireless headset on) and two additional data communications happen when the device on the other end is the XBOX360. That doesn't happen when the other side is a Windows PC.
Have you look further into this? I will love the bloody handshaking to fall down so I can make custom joysticks without having to rip off an official pad. Patch the kernel. On JTAGs it's possible to disable controller authentication. It's just that nobody ever bothered with that.

I have tried using X360_ISO_HACKER and iburn360. In different places during the burn, it will just say it's finish and finalize and eject. In iburn, it will get to around 30% with multiple backups and just stop. I have lost multiple disks because of this, and it's quite annoying. They are getting patched.... Ideas?
With respect, the only idea I can give you, is that here is the worst place in the whole web you could come to ask something like that.

60 Celsius is perfectly fine, because the fans will work to keep it at that temperature all the time, regardless of the external temperature.
It's extreme temperatures such as 80/85 C that hurt the main board and the chips.
Another word of advice is: Don't waste your time with GPUS that came from E74 machines. Simply have their GPU replaced. It's going to run like a champ once a good GPU is placed in it.

lol I NEVER had problems with the RAM chips. It's something I don't even look at.
Some systems seem to run with wrong timming/clock settings on their RAM chips, which cause the chips to run HOT.
But most do not. There's nothing wrong with the RAMS (on most cases) so I never rework them.
One thing that happened to me was an overly bent clamp placing too much pressure on the GPU making the balls go oval. It was a reball and my fault for not checking the clamps properly... lol
Another thing I forgot to mention: I aways replace the original clamps and then tinker with the thermal settings to make sure it never runs hotter than 60 degrees Celsius(140F).

so, i can't bring that subject up? If that's tabu, i am really sorry. Or if it is because of ME talking about it, sorry again.
It's not a taboo. But asking that here will likely result on answers such as: "Learn how to code and do it yourself." Because of the nature of this board, it's not a good idea to post such requests here.

I think I said: "Take it back to the vendor and claim warranty."
Not "Take it back to the dealer and claim warranty." ...
Anyway. If you can't claim warranty with the manufacturer (vendor) then you have a case you can use with a drive you purchased locally. And never, ever buy a hard disk drive through snail mail again. You have no idea the kind of abuse objects in transit are subject to on such service.

VCORE is a general term used to name the power rail which supplies the "core" logic of the chip. In fact, while the XBOX chips deal with higher voltages at the output pins (1.8v, 2.5v and 3.3v), internally they run at lower voltages such as 1.5~1.1v.
If the rail which powers the core logic is shorted, the system won't start and you get that 0001 error.
There's a leaked schematic for the Xenon motherboard on the wild. It gives excellent clues about how the power and memory stuff work as these parts never got changed on the revisions.
