hi, great work on the sound driver.
I am having a problem however ; (i am running a xenon and ubuntu 7.10) I followed everything properly, it says to edit /sound/pci/makefile ... did that no probs, but it says to edit kconfig too if needed, but im not sure what to put.
I see alsa start up in the boot logs, but im not sure if its enabled or how to check.
The patch worked fine and patched 3 blocks (patch -p0 ad_hwac3.patch) Then i ./configure'd then make then make install rebooted
When i aplay-l i get no sound cards found.
Tried to update alsa to latests version but i get version.h missing when i try to compile, and the headers aren't available for this kernel??
Id love to get this driver running, any help would be greatly appreciated.

ive got the same problem mate with a couple of boards, but i get 0003 on both. When you press the power button do you get a small groan or buzz from one of the mosfets near the cpu? I have changed all these mosfets for new ones on both my boards and still the problem persists. Changing the mosfets wont help. Ive come to the conclusion that one of the balls under the chip you reflowed (in my case GPU) has shorted. Mine was cause by not waiting long enough for the board to cool after reflow, and the pressure needed to re-apply the x-clamps sqaushed the balls in the center of the bga (these take longer to cool due to being under the die on the chip). Im going to try and reball the GPU next, so when i get it off ill see if there are any obvious shorts in the center. I do alot of reflows....like 450+ to date, with very few returns, but i guess i was busy that day...was rushing.....learnt a lesson for sure.
