I was comparing the dump of my firmware chip to the the one posted here. i did a direct compare and they were different 401A-429F and the key doesn't look correct ethier if it is supposed to be at 401A. it is only that range that is different between them. did I lose my key? or is it just a firmware difference.

on the dvd-rom itself it says F/W=ms25 H/W:005 Ver.A

to me it looks like my actual dvd key is stored at 4290 in my firmware. at least that is what looks like the dvd key within 401A-429F range.

i might have just screwed up dumping the chip or damaged it somehow. i reread it twice with verify and it was all good.

here is the hex from 4000-429F so you can see what i mean. I included from 4000 where you can see the repeating pattern with a counting before it gets to my key.

robinsod: are you interested in a H-943 mainboard minus its flash with some striped pads on the flash pad. i soldered a PLCC socket up with some 30 gauge wire but couldn't accurately solder the DQ0- DQ6 pins directly on the processor. If you want it you can have it. i don't think i can fix it personally. I am geting another drive from someone who has a broken 360 which has heat/video problems/crash problems. waiting on my willem programer to extract my keys from the flash.

LordX: i also removed mine recently. I lifted quite a few pads unfortunately. the only ones i am having trouble repairing are the DQ0-DQ6.  they were to be stuck with the epoxy and riped right off

so i sit around reading the forums absorbing what new information i can and then bam like a brick to my head i read a new post. Its got an exciting title which is always a misnomer. I always know slitghtly less after readiing it then i do before because idiocy takes up more room in your head then knowledge. it pushes something i needed out. It has pushed so much out now all i feel is primal hatred for people who don't read and are aragant enough to think their "idea" is something new and insightfull which they have no basis of understanding for posting. something like "i was thinking if the *insert xbox 1 hack* works on teh xboxs then if we hook up *xbox 1 hack* into xbox 360 the we got the bitch moded". always with no technical understanding just something they thought up with one hand down their pants and another on the mouse. I find myself wanting to hurt these people. I'm afraid i would if i knew who they were. One outlet I've tried is killing people on halo 2 on live(live name is BlueCopter). It doesn't seem to work well because the 12 year olds with their prepubescent voices and  their mics just ruins the fun of it. Killing kids isn't fun sport. So now I am driving down the road and i see people in cars around me and i think i bet thats the asshole who posted that stupid $#!t and wasted my 30 seconds readind and 10 minutes for me trying to forget. I think about swerving into them or trying to knock them off the road. This is ussually the moment when my sanity returns and i maintain my safe driving. The anti-pyscotics i am on now i don't think are strong enough to keep the voices from telling me to do it next time. so how do i satisfy the lust for revenge or not revenge i guess. i just want them to suffer and keep on suffering till they stop being idiots and spreading their idiocy likea virus among the people. at that time they could continue with their lives. any suggestions?

to all the other people here who beleive this is a full hack: it wasn't but it was a proof of concept. It isn't a fully developed hack yet. It was specific to one game as far as i understand. I can see lots of rumors poping up and people confusing this with a full hack and you're just keeping it private then pestering for release... ect. which won't advance the development of this hack.

To the "backup people". please wait and see it isn't fully there yet just partly so. textbook your site says under your interests "Pirating Anything" so i doubt your motives are as pure as you claim. IDA Pro is a known tool that many people use. Not really anything new or anything. It was used for xbox1 as well. there is even a xbox flirt http://www.yates2k.net/xbox/xbox_flirt2.rar

I think a modified 8050L firmware(flashed to an 8163B) to auto authenticate orginal discs so they could be easily read in the pc. even make 360 discs read automagicly. It should be possible since they are so similar. At least it would allow people to legally look at the game files off 360 discs.

I just ordered a couple 8163B drives from newegg to play with since i can't get a 360 right now and have a samsung or phillips in my xboxs.

thecheekymonkey: apparently the dangerous brother have a utility to dump the firmware from a parrellel ata intereface  if you read back on that old xbox-scene thread about the conversion of a 8163B to an 8050L. Before anyone took the chip off and dumped it manually the brothers supplied a tool to dump the firmware to a guy. everyone who tried it said they couldn't get it to work though. I beleive this is because it was specificly looking for a 8163B drive and not the 8050L which they had connected. If we could get a hold of this thing it might be possible it could be of use or modified to be of use. Still waiting on a pm back from the guy who orginally got the thing for them.
