obviously getting hello world to work is not very diffiicult but it is a building block to any language or new form of implementation (in this case xbox 360)
EDIT: I think you are getting me wrong... im not interested in learnign how to code C++, that is no problem, i am interested in learning how to port my applications to the xbox 360 by creating executable files from my compiled code (XEX's) and how to do that using the XDK

Xbox 360 / XboxHacking - General / Couple Xbox SDK questions...

1) Is the XDK just a compiler, or a debug tool, or neither. 2) Does the coding get done in a C# IDE and then sent to the XDK 3) Where can i find info on XDK development? 4) Lastly what is the difference between the Xbox SDK and the XNA which is more widely available
If i have a C# program i would like to use on the 360 how do i compile it for use with xbox 360?
ps ifi t matters XDK is version 7xxx

**SOLVED *** dont let this happen to you... In 360Menu there is an the apps can be very dangerous to your xbox... Choosing the 00 one will turn off your fans completely and cause nearly instant over heating... the trouble is in order to set them back to auto you have to either
1) flash the nand back completely fresh 2) Get into 360menu and change it back to AUTO before your console overheats
Be very careful a curious mind trying out these apps can lead to very bad things, specially since i just spend about 3 hours reflashing when i have 2 exams coming up in less than a week... :|

Hey sorry i forgot to mention, its a zephyr, and when i boot xell into xell the same thing happens, i feel its not an overheating issue because ive started it cold before and had the problem occur within a few minutes of loading xell
EDIT: In case its important i was booting linux when the xbox failed under xell, took approximately 2 minutes from cold start
Also crashes just sitting at dashboard doing nothing after approximately the same time, time to crash does not matter if its a fresh boot or restart after previous failure

well its somewhat settling that im not the only one, i guess ill wait it out for some of the bugs to be ironed out in XBReboot because its virtually unusable since it crashes about 2 minutes in no matter what.

Whether in xell or retail dash (8599_1), my console will all of a sudden shut down, the fans will go on VERY HIGH, and i get two red lights on the top two corners (assuming xbox is standing upright). This only started happening today, could run for as long as i wanted before. Its worth mentioning that I had my xbox wireless adapter plugged in but never connected to live, however i did connect to my network. Im going to try reflashing if no one has any ideas, let me know if anyone has expierienced this before
