Thanks for the reply, so does it matter which lens I replace it with? Or will it only "fit" a toshiba lens?

Hey guys, I registered to ask a quick question:

I had a launch x360 unmodded which got RROD about a year ago, The new one I got refurbed from M$ is a Toshiba dated November 07

I got this flashed a few months ago, and it reads MOST verbatim Backups fine. Two weeks ago I ordered 2 spindles of Verbatim DL's off ebay. The first spindle worked fine but the second spindle started giving me "Unplayable Disc" errors, and making clicking noises in my DVD writer while burning.

Loading any back up burned with the discs in this spindle gives me numerous "Unplayable Disc" errors but would EVENTUALLY load after ejecting and closing the DVD tray a few times. (And making loud clicking noises while loading) I chalked this up to getting a bad batch of verbs, but my cousin has a flashed Elite (Benq I think) and the discs from the "Bad batch" work fine on his 360.

I also bought a batch of Aquashield DL RICOHJPND which will not load AT ALL on my system (Unplayable Disc after 20+ ejects) but also play on my cousin's system fine. His drive also plays lower quality DL disks, pretty much anything I have thrown at it.

So my question is will replacing (or adjusting) my lens help me with reading this media? Or do I need to spoof/swap my drive with a Benq?
