202  Xbox 360 / XboxHacking - General / Re: MacBox 360 on: August 31, 2006, 08:21:31 PM
the original xbox has been hacked and it can't even run a copy of xp. let alone any new OS.  Good luck on this one.   Roll Eyes
203  Xbox 360 / XboxHacking - General / Re: 3 red flashing lights Error 0021 FIX on: August 31, 2006, 08:19:28 PM
well after a entire week(last week) calling with support to get a label to ship it.
which took em in total of 7 days exactly to make sure their system send my label.

i send the xbox on Monday with UPS got it back today Wednesday fixed.
BUT the bastards were kind enough to reset my firmware.

but it works again, thats the good part and i did not need to pay anything.
Even though the warrantly label was damaged a bit.

So you have a modded firmware, and a damaged warrenty sticker, and they STILL fixed your xbox for free? WTF??

206  Research & Technical XboxHacking (Xbox 360) / DVD-ROM Drive and Media / Re: What really happened to the KIOSK disk? on: August 31, 2006, 04:37:31 PM
correct me if im wrong, but with a hacked firmware it gives us just as much hackability with any regular backup as with the kiosk.  The media flag check is bypassed by the firmware, so we have gotten nowhere really.
207  Research & Technical XboxHacking (Xbox 360) / Software (TECHNICAL) / Re: original xbox1 dashboard on xbox 360 ? on: August 31, 2006, 04:31:13 PM
well, i made a big long post. must have gotten deleted or I forgot to push post. but to sum it up, this thread is WAY off the original subject, 'dashboard on 360' but it has sparked a few ideas. none of which i honestly beleive will 'hack' the 360, but have the potential to do SOMETHING wether it be useful or not.

BTW: is the brute force game a PAL or NTSC game? special edition or what?

I just ordered it from amazon.com for $1.61 LOL.

First of all, you can't cheat with the fw hack. Secondly, Microsoft CAN do something about it, they just haven't. It isn't OVER risky to add simple checks to eliminate some of the problematic firmwares. Look at the PSP they still have a few firmwares that can play pirated/backup games, yet they are doing their best to eliminate as many as possible. and they are flashing every psp's firmware. Not too risky for them apparently.

M$ Will retaliate, and when it comes, be ready to be banned. or worse. They are more likely trying to come up with the single, ultimate solution. Probably trying to avoid the back and forth games. And they are most definately doing their research on the people involved in this progress, I.E. This website, its users and other websites.

Its like cracking a homicide case. you can't reveal any details about your attack until its time to come out and blame someone. Will allow people to find other ways around the situation. I'm waiting for the day to say, "oh $#!t, time to flash back to original and cross my fingers it still works"

you can always use ss merge 1.6 and compare the MD5.
210  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / Question About Grounding. on: August 30, 2006, 04:52:30 PM
Sorry, I wasn't getting the response in my other post as the subject was not relavent.

If I'm using a SATA->USB adaptor, do I still need to ground the xbox chassis to my computer chassis? If so, can I just use a ground wire inside of the usb cable and touch that to the xbox??? or maybe connect the unused ground wire inside of the sata sheath and connect it to a GND pin on the usb? any thoughts welcome.
211  Xbox 360 / Xbox 360 General Discussion / Re: Track your results!!! on: August 30, 2006, 04:13:39 PM
Added a few results. You need to add an OTHER option in every one of those fields.

You don't have sony burners there, you dont have all data types, you need to add a searching function,  organization etc.

Can I play PS2 games on my PS4?
213  Research & Technical XboxHacking (Xbox 360) / DVD-ROM Drive and Media / Re: What really happened to the KIOSK disk? on: August 30, 2006, 11:07:33 AM
not necessarily.. it may just as well have been a "message" by MS.. basically showing "yes, we watch you, yes, we can do something about it".

message or not, they did patch it quickly...why are they taking so long this time?

I would assume drive variations, and actually getting the right people banned... plus we keep comming out with better firmwares 2x as fast as they are preventing them.
214  Research & Technical XboxHacking (Xbox 360) / DVD-ROM Drive and Media / Re: What really happened to the KIOSK disk? on: August 29, 2006, 05:25:33 PM
last i heard, nobody was able to do anything with the kiosk disc....but why would microsoft ban it within days, must have been a threat.

217  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / Re: how can u protect ip address on xblive on: August 29, 2006, 02:01:13 AM
why doesn't everyone just use a nice router. get a real home network. thats how.

I have xb1, x360,ps2 and psp and my computer on my home network. the only thing connected directly to my cable modem is a linksys wireless router. and my modded xb1 has its own wireless router downstairs. the only thing directly connected to my routers, are xb1 and ps2. everything else is wireless. a router can protect you from many things.

yep. looks unencrypted to me... what file is it?
219  Xbox 360 / Xbox 360 "Modding" / Re: SATA Toggle - Switch from internal DVD drive to external flashing port on: August 28, 2006, 11:11:29 AM
well. not necessarily shut it off, but shut it out of the circuit. if you are talking about the grounding issue, the usb adaptor i have is only powered when the external usb port is connected to the computer. which lights a led. I think im just going to tap into the ground in the usb cable and solder it to the chassis of the xbox. so whenever my usb cable is present the ground is a little more stable.
220  Xbox 360 / XboxHacking - General / Re: Live on: August 28, 2006, 03:00:55 AM
And if that were to be a common accident, they would need to show proof you were cheating. Hard to do if you can revert your firmware back.
