Well. I do know this. Still, trying to keep the speculation low in this thread, but I used the Stealthed, non maximus toolbox firmware. And i updated the firmware hours before updating my console. I had my xbox off for like a week and a half cuz I got a Wii. In any case, All of these details are important. I guess we could just ask MS what they did...

Everyone should also put the first letter of their gamer tag. Mine is a 'W' Right there at the end of the alphabet.... I KNEW i should have started it with a Z!!

More likely than your gamertag name, i'm sure everyone has an xbox live 'number' that you can't see that is received upon registration of your gold membership.

As I mentioned before. Being banned can take time. Also, this is a very small list which does not represent actual numbers very well. But it gives some of us a basic idea to go with. Your console ID is blacklisted once that has happened. You will NEVER be allowed back for any reason.

I am going to revert my firmware. This is just too crazy. I don't play any games offline so I'm just leaving my xbox off for the next while to see what happens. But so far i'm not on the black list.Yet. I do believe I read one report of reverting and they were OK so far.

That doesn't sound likely, because people buy games legitimately before their street date because retailers choose to ignore the rules. Just like the elite on ebay before its street date... Consumers fault? Absolutely not.

Plus. What about the testers? They surely aren't going to ban the dev team.

Another though. Microsoft might be aware of the fw but is building a case on your system, and sending the data back to the MS headquarters. Before completely cutting off live communication. Analyzing a console and banning it takes time. And not everyone finds out exactly when they were banned. I hear a lot of,"disconnected while playing" which means they've come to the conclusion you are violating the TOS and they are done communicating with your console... D/C. For those of us still online, I really recommend you do not turn your xbox's on. Data can be analyzed by the dashboard even while not connected to live, as long as your xbox is on. If you value your 400 dollar piece of equipment, revert back to stock. I gaurentee you that we are not going to get a second chance to do so.

Did he play any backups during that time? Did you? If you put in a backup after the spring update and before the jitter fw fix, you are considered 'exposed'. If you are using a non stealthed firmware/game you should also be considered exposed. Those are things c4e said could be checked. All the data on the disc.

Also. What kind of network connection is everyone using?

You can sniff all you want. Try a program like iris. Will you see anything? Sure. Will it be useful? Hell no. Xbox live is highly encrypted and i believe uses some sort of VPN or something. Its like a tunnel i think. Thats my guess.

secondly, updating to jitter fw BEFORE the spring update. My console was never turned on for about a week so i had time to upgrade the fw to c4e 2.4. I just logged in scared as hell and it worked. So far so good. i've only noticed a few people that updated before hand and got banned. let us know if you are spoofing your drive version.

played phantasy star universe, crackdown and halo 3 beta last night and this morning. Just logged in 10 minutes ago about 7:30 pacific and it signed me in. So I immediately turned my box off. I updated my drive BEFORE the spring update. commodore4eva would not have released this update if he didn't get some kind of reliable info from someone. Besides, if he made a fix for the hitachi, which I can tell he dreads doing it must have been important. Keep it comming guys! Good work. In any case. Xbconnect360 anyone?

not lookin good for us hitachis. i have a 47dj.... i'm not turning it on for a while. gonna see if anyone finds some kind of resolution before i try again.

well. im at work. and i did play this morning with no problems. sigh... oh well. my xbox was free and, i got to a Rank 10 in halo 3. HEHEHE. i'll go home and see what happens.

Noone that actually wanted to use their 120gb drive would actually do this due to the fact that it would become blackllisted and unusable. Thats like buying a 120gb drive for the 360 and putting it into your laptop.

Please, someone let me know when you find out where to purchase a LAT specific drive. New egg nor does any online distributor specify if its RST or LAT. Who is going to Call and find out? Or better yet. Who is going to buy one and find out? I say we wait for better compatibility. TS+1.

I think the biggest problem is that there isn't much documentation on this kind of a projects, and its a very complicated process.. In any case, more power to anyone out there that actally has the time and the capacity to get this done. I sure don't have the time, Thats for sure!

What i want to know is, what drive are they using? And who is going to be the first to either buy the crappy drive for 180$ or buy the system... Anyone plan on getting one? Because I know the rest of us want the layout of that drive.

I thought this thread died... anyway. with the hyper visor out, many things are now possible.
