Morons. If you count at the same acedemic level as you construct an English sentence, then that doesn't surprise me.
That's ACADEMIC to you.

The last FW release by this author was a fake/failure. As such, the author did not deserve the benefit of the doubt this time around. If this FW would have been fake/broken too, then TheSpecialist's analysis would have saved all of you a lot of broken drives and DL DVDs.
Quite illogical, and therefore not an ACADEMIC way of doing things. TheSpecialist analysed his FW with a preconceived bias. As such, he did not even bother to prove it wasn't working before he started telling everyone it couldn't work. This is not a process he learned at an ACADEMIC institution. Its simply quite clear that he had already decided it wouldn't work based on the previous FW not working.

Whether he was right or wrong is frankly irrelevant. I didn't see any of you addressing TheSpecialist's 3 concerns about the FW. Some of you put blind faith in the author and it happened to pay off. Congratulations, you can take wild guesses. It's obvious that you people don't have a clue how to participate in a techincal discussion/debate. You're clearly not qualified to post in this section. So kindly dont.

Sadly it looks like you don't know about empiricism. ACADEMICALLY speaking of course.

BTW, what I'm really advocating here is the following: Don't try elitist arguments in a technical forum. It won't take you very far. In the end its the facts and facts alone that should be used to judge contributions to a technical discussion.
