What's the history of the console?
I've not seen a GPU-related RRoD Jasper yet.
me neither. 0022 is probably smc related.

Xbox 360 / XboxHacking - General / zephyr 4578 that will not glitch. any suggestions?

really need to get the key off this board. however, the board will NOT glitch. no matter how long i let it sit. spent several hours today trying to get the board to glitch with no success. turned right around and pulled the key off another 4578 zephyr that glitched almost instantly. i know that zephyrs are very finicky but i really dont want to trash a working board just because i cant get the key. i have tried caps on both cpu_rst and pll_bypass. are there any tricks left to possibly get this board to glitch just 1 time? thats all i need, 1 time.

Check and make sure the fan connector is plugged properly....can cause 0101.
I'll update the secondary code sheet, after I test this some more.
Happy New Year!! Hope this helps you and others.

sorry to bump such an old topic. but this post is 100% correct. got a jasper that booted to dashboard but had 0101. someone had attempted to 12v fan mod, remove wire/solder and console booted/green light.

ok, i got this board to repair. the console would immediately power on and then off or on and turn the fans on high speed after plugging in the power. i removed the smc and replaced it with another from another board. that fixed the crazy power problem so obviously the smc was damaged. now the console will only ding when the power button is pressed. it is a failed rgh attempt. not quite sure what the owner did to damage the smc. i removed and replaced the hana with another. after this the console powered on ok. i thought it was fixed. but after letting the board sit a while it would not power on anymore. i reflowed the hana i had just replaced and same symptoms. console powers on but after sitting it will not power on. it seems the heat from reflowing causes the board to be able to power.
i dont want to junk the board because its obvious it can be repaired since it powers immediately after reflowing but not once it cools completely.
i have no idea what to check from here. anyone have any ideas?

someone else has the same problem though: how did you get yours to work correctly without the STATUS line connected? mine would not switch nands or anything until i installed that status line (i originally though it was for LED but it looks like the nand CE line is connected to the LED on ROL for the LED status. i think this status line is important as its what fixed my issue so not sure how yours is working without it.. also, have you noticed any issues with glitching? If it doesn't glitch within 20 seconds the ROL turns red and it stops glitching... this is not the case with the stock xsvf where it will continuously glitch.im just going to take it all out and put a hardware switch back and wire it up manually. at least that worked 100% of the time. lol. and how is it to flip a switch. this switching code seems too buggy.

i have a problem with this code as well. the console switches nands ok but ive only gotten it to glitch and boot successfully once. each other time it red lights. sometimes after 6 seconds, sometimes after 15-20. it seems that whenever it would start to actually glitch and boot is when it red lights. the fans will speed up, it will make the real fast glitch sound like the ft4r2 wire is damaged but its not. any ideas? stock nand boots perfect 100% of the time.

tested a rol yesterday, console didnt power and the chip above the ribbon connector got REALLY hot. found this post today, removed both caps above the chip and the rol worked again. put the small cap back on the board and replaced the larger cap. c58 and c57.
