I tried using your app to rip one of my game and the image was successfully created. But when I burnt it, it didn't work. It worked when I made it manually using DVDIngoPro. Any other had that problem?

"Media Stealth", so this firmware can "only" emulate original discs? This is not stealth FW?

Yes, it is only media stealth. I'm not sure there is a way to do the firmware stealth with the samsung, at least, not the way the hitachi firmware was done. In samsung firmware the reading is handled by the MTK chip, not the firmware, so there is no way to fake the information.

My floppy only has the dos bootable files and mtkflash on it. It has more empty space than 256kb. My hd is sata and NTFS, but I could prolly plug in an ide hd formated in FAT32 but I read that we must unplug all ide drives.
Yes i tries multiples floppies.

I tried to read my firmware using a PCI to SATA adapter using an ALi chipset. I modified my mtkflash and it recognized the drive. But when i type mtkflash r /m orig.bin, my green light on my xbox starts to flash, and it reads the firmware and then stops. It never stops at the same time, sometime 33%, 40%, etc. Sometimes it goes to 99% and then starts again. Did anyone else had that problem?

Does anyone know if this will work with the Toshiba Drive?
ASUS P4S8X - It has the SiS 648 North Bridge / 963 South Bridge and Promise Serial ATA controller. From the first post, I see the following:
Promise Sata controller on the ASUS P4C800E-Deluxe - Compatible with DVD drive, not HDD
While it's not the exact same motherboard I am thinking the adapter is the same. At this point I don't care about the HDD, just the DVD. So I'm just wondering if anyone had tested this and/or knows if this should work before I rip apart the 360.
I also need to find a hacked firmware for my DVD-R as it currently doesn't support bitsetting - but before I start to go through all this trouble I just want to make sure my mb SATA adpater will work with this drive.
I was wondering if you finally found a way to get it working? |

I just want to add my 2 cents if i may, i personally couldn't give a $#!t whether you released it or not because it's only a matter of time before someone else figures out what you've done, improves it and releases it to the entire world! Until then i won't be buying a 360, i am a very patient person..

You don't think billy and his mates are making enough money?? im sure copying a few xbox games isn't going to send him broke...
Then again it's your call, congratulation on your findings, months of hard work as you said has given someone else the information they need to do what it takes to really impress the xbox 360 community.

Your answer is in your question. They advocates hacking and not piracy. Most of the money on each game ain't going to "Billy" as you said. It is going to developers that worked 2 years to develop a game. Why do you think games cost 60$ now? They need to make money to make good games. If they don't have enough money, they rush to release it as fast as possible and you end up with games like Driv3r. If you play games, buy them. These are my 2 cents. smash |

I tried to add those link so that they can be visible from my Xbox 360, but doesn't seem to work. I can see them from media center if i run it from my pc locally but can't see the prohrams I added if I run Media Center on the xbox 360. Could you please let me know where you added the shortcut?
