241  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / Re: Get help with new SMC i/o ports and bugfix here on: June 03, 2010, 04:30:42 AM
Will get some sleep as I'm in retro gaming character mode now (altered beast).

so:
will flash xellous
will patch with CC 28 CF 03 parameter
will flash lpt: smc_patched 0 1, and will try again?

the reason I want xellous is, messed up first flash, had to go back flashed xellous, destroyed last db1f1 alternative... e79 inmediately, tried zephyr_hack_updxell just in case my xellous wasn't right so, last thing I flashed, was xell.
242  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / Re: Get help with new SMC i/o ports and bugfix here on: June 03, 2010, 04:17:11 AM
I don't wanna be a pain in an inappropriate place, but, flashing from LPT is not that cute (haven't done the USB SPI, one of these days).

Do you know something about this new sbtool for w32? nothing in the usual places but debug...

that way, I can patch a xellous image to flash updflash.bin from there...
243  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / Re: Get help with new SMC i/o ports and bugfix here on: June 03, 2010, 03:59:54 AM
I don't really get it...

I already patched a falcon's smc to aud_clamp with 'smc_io smcdec.bin smc.bin' and worked like nothing.

So, from J2D2-1 i'll go to TRAY_OPEN
from J2D2-2 will go to AUD_CLAMP

and my command will be like this:
smc_io SMC_dec.bin SMC_patched.bin 83 28 C0 03

Now, since my console would not boot with old wiring (already tried it), will have to make a Xellous image with that SMC_Patched, I imagine...

Don't have a linux box right now to use sbtool (as in my desperation, I can't find DOS or W32 version, only debug and don't think it works as I read there's a new build), my slackware laptop is doomed too (DV6000 AMD Turion, guess what?).

Am I right???
244  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / Re: Get help with new SMC i/o ports and bugfix here on: June 03, 2010, 03:36:45 AM
me first....

Do I need to do something else to the SMC for the TRAY OPEN spot to work?

I messed up this guy (thanks  to screwdriver and stupid hand)

every boot goes to e79 (already soldered to TRAY OPEN)... no xell(ous), no way to get back to original wiring (from what I know) and no original 7371 dump (but XBR3 backup, will be flashing freeboot)...

The other spot right above FT2R2 does not exist in my Zephyr, and the FT1U2 - DB1F1 are gone too...

What can I do now?
245  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / Re: Falcon JTAG would randomly red light on: May 31, 2010, 01:34:05 PM
try something not so HDMI.

To people saying Freeboot is worse than XBR:

I got in love with XBR, but I must accept the most recent Freeboot, does just the same and even more...

My zephyr has stoped e79'ing, at least, I haven't seen a single red light, and it hasn't froze in the middle of a game.

OH, it hasn't corrupted my NAND ever in a month!!!
247  Xbox 360 / XboxHacking - General / Re: Alternative point for DB1F1 Jasper? on: May 28, 2010, 07:59:05 PM
okay fair enough, i wouldnt have anyway, just interested how fast all these people get banned after going online to cheat in COD.

Let's just say pretty fast, and good luck cheating on cod, no help there

good luck then
249  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / Re: "Disk May Be Scratched" Errors when playing ganes From HD on: May 28, 2010, 03:48:58 PM
not necessarily, check with manufacturer tools.

don't know if it's normal, but you are using your CPU key to encrypt some parts of your nand, so differences may be expected.
251  Xbox 360 / XboxHacking - General / Re: Alternative point for DB1F1 Jasper? on: May 26, 2010, 02:08:13 PM
Use Freeboot wit ALL config, smc config and stuff, should work ok
252  Xbox 360 / XboxHacking - General / Re: Alternative point for DB1F1 Jasper? on: May 26, 2010, 01:13:35 AM
don't really know, just repeating what i've read in the other thread you're watching.
253  Research & Technical XboxHacking (Xbox 360) / Software (TECHNICAL) / Re: To: Freeboot Toolbox .32 creators on: May 26, 2010, 01:12:32 AM
I have a brain and this tool is worthless to me.  There's no need to be an ass just because the tool worked for you.

No need to be rude if you have a brain, you're already sharing the feeling, do you think the same?

Must add, have a zephyr, don't even know if it works with mine, but, the tool clearly states xenon, falcon, jasper.
254  Xbox 360 / XboxHacking - General / Re: Alternative point for DB1F1 Jasper? on: May 25, 2010, 08:23:03 PM
man, you're asking for alternatives, use'em, I personally messed up the 2 preferred points, from what I know, are test points, so please, don't feel bad for ruining it and use the alternatives, I soldered my zephyr like a jasper, is working (must add that Freeboot 0.32 hasn't had a single E79 or any other kind of error.

FT3P3 is perfect, if you can't, ask someone to solder it.
255  Research & Technical XboxHacking (Xbox 360) / Software (TECHNICAL) / Re: To: Freeboot Toolbox .32 creators on: May 25, 2010, 08:17:46 PM
If you read this best pig I think that you should include "do not use if you suffer from lack of brain." in the read me. Grin

Don't even think it, do it, this tool can be used by a new born.
256  Xbox 360 / XboxHacking - General / Re: Recommended addons after JTAG on: May 25, 2010, 01:30:30 AM
I really didn't get that, but as a XBMC enthusiast I must disagree...

I have my HTPC too on my LCD with WMC (already bundled in 7), but, my jtag machines are all over the house, and a media center in the box can be pretty helpful
257  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / Re: is there any alternate solder spots for the wireless sync button? on: May 25, 2010, 01:25:29 AM
wasn't there any history on this box? or did you just buy it, hit or miss on a no power up?

Sorry, totally my bad...

Well, this was my live box a long ago (2007), totally working, my nephews where watching some Jet Li movie and entered the way of the dragon ninja, kicking my 360's ass, they drop it, Rrod...
Tried the x-clamp, worked, so I sent it for reball, and is working great with freeboot 0.32 (xbr 3 before), but my sync button will not even activate the ROL, so only sync with Play n' charge.

This is not a problem, but recently got back my guitar hero bundle, and can't sync any wireless guitar/drums...

That's the story behind the myth
258  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / Re: is there any alternate solder spots for the wireless sync button? on: May 24, 2010, 06:21:20 PM
If button and traces are all good then it sounds like a southbridge issue. If it was at my shop it would get a southbridge reflow or replacement.

I meant damage to the traces on the underside of the board where the old clamp was removed Smiley

I didn't even remembered about the sync problem on that console...

I forgot to say, I can push the button ok, no traces messed, but the action won't fire up the search.

I've read there's a resistor near the RF connection on the mobo, I'm gonna check on that, if no response, I will try southbridge reflow.
259  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / Re: Avatar update on: May 24, 2010, 06:07:50 PM
Reading more?

Doesn't matter the USB is used as MU, should take the update
260  Xbox 360 / XboxHacking - General / Re: Recommended addons after JTAG on: May 24, 2010, 05:56:09 PM
Can just stream from PC?

Also with 9199 update and a banned box you can just use mediacenter again!

Don't think so, streaming MKV and stuff is not that cute, better something with native support.
