Well, I've been using a WD Scorpio Blue 320GB with my jtag, the sata/power cables are soldered directly to the mobo like in the internal mod.

Someone just gave me a broken HDD case (they did the nutcracker sweet on it), and when I try to use the SATA cable, it gaves E68...

The cable doesn't seem to be damaged, no shorted pins, I'm gonna keep searching and experimenting.


Does anyone else had this kind of rare problem?

How are you flashing?

I recommend USB SPI in your case...

One of my Xenons was doing some crazy $#!t.

Dumped original like 10 times till I got 4 identical dumps, all contained the very same bad block.
When flashing through Flash360 or xellous, I don't get anything about a bad block, so the flash stops in 3DE or something like that.
Freeboot was working 2 in every 5 attempts and sometimes it just RROD, flashing with USB with properly remapped bad blocks did the job

my 16 mb nand erased in like 10 seconds, I don't know if there's other command in nandpro for doing such a thing

Well, I have fixed a lot of 360 (where only 2 have ever failed again) doing some overheating and using the xclamp replacement fix.

Now, I have a xenon which, is really hard to fix (exploitable), as, it will RROD but still turn on, do the rol animation, and get back to RROD, still working till overheats.

could it be a GPU/ANNA Combo ?

You should move totally From DB1F1 to tray_open and from the rol to aud_clamp, modify the smc with this tool, and inject it to your xellous image, it should give cpu key.

AND don't forget to build freeboot with the very same modified SMC.BIN, or you will get a not so friendly E79 screen.

Extract the SMC from a XBR image, patch it with smc_io, and then, you can use a tool named smc updater to update the xell-ous binary

You should check your LTP is in SPP mode in the BIOS config.

Write your Xellous and use it to upload your XBR/Freeboot.

Here is described a method in which you will only flash Xellous from LPT cable and the rest from a USB


The answer to the above, I'm not really sure, but someone mentioned that windows Xp an later still search randomly for printers in the LPT.

I think this limitation is in the kernel (though I could be wrong), and only games demanding a lesser amount of ping, have it into it's default.xex
