try ejecting the tray, then pulling the power plug from the console so the tray stays out. when you power on, it should be in mode B.. at least I think that mode b "switch" was in 2.4 already.
That done the trick dude, thankyou so very much , it's been bashing my brains for hours. Was the modeB switch documented in the C4EVA_XTRM-HITACHI_v2_4_Stealth? Restored and flashed perfectly Thanks Arakon the great

Hi, I flashed this box about 8 month ago with the same setup , same slax discs( even tried some new 1's), its a hitachi59 dj June 2006 flashed with C4EVA_XTRM-HITACHI_v2_4_Stealth.rar. Slax detects the drive and says thanks kevnu spinning up, when i eject theres no flashing green light and it takes 2 press's to close the tray again. For the life of me i have'nt the fogiest why it did work and now i cant reflash using same setup, can't seem to find any ifo on my prob though allthough i have found lots on 59djS there was nothing that really helped. Any ideas? Ta x

I'd go for the 112d dude as the 111d is abit outdated now and has big problems reguarly when burning cheap media like Aone and others, since i got a 112d i've not had 1 coaster using Aones, using 111d with Aones usually led to 50%+ chance of a failed burn i'm on the 3rd 10 pack now 1 no coasters

If the tray opens without the top casing on then it does sound like there could be something obstructing the tray. If you press eject with it all together does it stick? and if yes what happens when you press eject and straight after give the front of the dvd-rom a tap,? does it open then, if so then it could still be the rubber band on the dvd-rom motor that opens and closes the tray

component video is always analog. so is VGA. HDMI is all digital and requires the sound to be digital too, or it has to be seperate, like on 360.
Lol thanks dude, just some peeps say it has the hana chip and some say it do'nt, i take it that if it theres a hdmi port on 360 it has to be the digital hana chip as hdmi does'nt accept analogue sound or video. Lol basicly it must have the hanachip as it has hdmi? is that right?

I'm sure i read somewhere, maybe on avforums that analog signals won't work in a hdmi port?hence why analogue sound does'nt work through hdmi! well if thats right and ms still aint using the hanachip , or are they?, well thats me off to google to find it out! HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface):
Supports standard, enhanced, or high-definition video, plus multi-channel digital audio on a single cable - DVI only supports video HDMI can be converted to DVI and digital audio via a convertor HDMI can be connected to DVI via a single cable HDMI is single link only and therefore only requires single link DVI Is a digital connection and is therefore compatible with both DVI-D and DVI-I Current distance limitation of 15m (This can be increased by the use of HDMI Extenders) Notes: -Since HDMI is digital it WILL NOT WORK when connected to a VGA (analogue) socket via a DVI adaptor! All VGA connections are analogue.

This free Xbox 360™ update is great news! We've been listening to what the community has been telling us, so we're happy to announce that this update will improve your gaming experience.
Here are some of the changes in this update:
* Improvements to the Xbox Guide. * Option to retain your saved games when you delete a profile. * Increased accuracy of "last time played." * Network configuration improvements for Xbox Live® members in the Netherlands. * More detailed messaging for unreadable disk or region errors.
This free* update is available to all Xbox Live members. Your console will be updated the next time you sign in to Xbox Live.
*Internet connection fees may apply.
Dashboard & Kernel version updated from 2.0.4548.0 to 2.0.4552.0
Hopefully this doesn't have anything to do with us modified firmware users. Lol i'm sure i just read the same-ish post somewhere else, that quote for the update dude is from jan 2006, not 2007

then you still have a VGA connector at the end of the cable, and can plug the vga cable into that using the gender chanrger adapter that comes with the original VGA cable.
Lol, bugger me if i'd of thought of it like that i would be sitting here with cash in my pocket instead of a hdtv

Xbox1 (original) / Xbox1 General / Re: How do you take off your music on 1st gen xb0x?

on: January 06, 2007, 05:10:54 PM

Not got a xbox anymore dude so i cant check this out for you . If you have a stock xbox (unmodded) then go into your saves from the xbox dash, basicly the biggest save will be your music!!! Or if you have a modded box, just browse the edata/udata folders for your music, again the largest(mb) folder will be your music. Can you rip music from a unmodded xbox? i do'nt know, well you can if you have a large usb stick that works with the box.

Thanks dude, i know about the error codes but i was just scared somewhat that it may have been down to me. By the looks of it though it was a loose connection as i had just returned the box and it was hastily set up, and it would not switch back on again till the power supply was pulled from back of 360 so it does sound like he may of knocked the video cable alittle back in for it to work again, anyways ive phoned him and advised that the cable needs a good pushing in for starters as if it does happen again we can then rule out that error code Ta
