21  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / Re: Unbrickable LiteOn... bricked? on: May 18, 2009, 08:45:22 AM
i know this sounds somewhat useless, but the couple of  "bad" LO drives i have encountered, i closed the draw, power cycled the drive, re-opened the drawer to half way and it worked, had spent ages trying previously.

I have no idea why it worked, and i know, theoretically, it should have made zero difference, but hey, wheres the hurt in trying.

24  Xbox1 (original) / Xbox1 General / Re: xbox1 high def. on: April 18, 2009, 09:48:32 AM
Amd if its a pal box, you will need to change it to NTSC for the high def options to appear in the standard (ie. original MS) dash,

Not sure if u need to set NTSC for XBMC to run high def.. been a while now...
25  Xbox 360 / Xbox 360 "Modding" / Re: Car project "Mobile Modify" on: April 18, 2009, 09:39:34 AM
Ummm, yes giggles its true, check any car u want, standard charging voltage when running is 13.8v.

We know u cant read a datasheet for $#!t, did u finish your TAFE course on using a multimeter yet ??
Good girl, now run out to your boyfriends car and get him to start it (adult supervision would be preferred for you) and set the multimeter to DC Volts and test it.

For someone who so openly professes to know nearly everything, you really are a dumb $#!t.
26  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / Re: Failed April Live Update on: April 13, 2009, 03:49:24 AM
I guess since you found the download link, you have already been here (just a guess....):

http://gueux-forum.net/index.php?showtopic=182873

If the update you have now is no good, wait a month or 2 until they release another i guess..

The thread above is updated when a new update is released, there is also a thread on here somewhere detailing such things.

Or maybe, he's actually a smart man, with smart friends and has found a hole or backdoor somewhere, and , because we all know MicroShaft read things here doesn't want the evil mega-global empire to shut it. (Gee, they've never done that before have they ??)

as for Arakon.. rage away good sir, rage away Wink
28  Xbox 360 / Xbox 360 General Discussion / Re: What are The PC Requirements To Flash a Xbox360 Drive on: April 05, 2009, 06:15:23 AM
as your asking what is NEEDED to do it, if you'll be using Jungleflash, you also need to install the .NEt 2.0 redistributable, google it and download from Microshaft.
29  Xbox1 (original) / Xbox1 General / Re: Something Like DVD2Xbox? on: April 05, 2009, 05:56:54 AM

30  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / Re: SMD LED 0603 Soldering on: April 02, 2009, 04:28:14 PM
if by "Muck" you mean the flux left behind, Isopropyl Alcohol would be preferred, or methylated spirits works well.

OR if you got some $$ to spare, get a can of proper PCB cleaning solvent.
31  Xbox 360 / XboxHacking - General / Re: kreon firmware for ts-h352 on: March 27, 2009, 08:20:39 AM
stolen from:  http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=674843

Quote
The following drives can be purchased, installed in your PC, and then flashed with one of Kreon’s alternate firmwares for reading Xbox 360 games.
SH-D162C (IDE)
*TS-H352C (IDE)
SH-D163A (SATA)
*TS-H353A (SATA)
SH-D162D (IDE)
*TS-H352D (IDE)
SH-D163B (SATA)
*TS-H353B (SATA)
*If you notice in this list, after each SH drive there is a matching TS drive right underneath it. This TS drive has the same hardware and firmware, and it can be flashed with the above drive’s firmware. For example, a TS-H352C can be flashed with the SH-D162C firmware and the TS-H353A can be flashed with the SH-D163A firmware. The only difference when flashing these TS drives is you need to run the –nocheck option.

Here's another hint: Xbins...
32  Xbox 360 / XboxHacking - General / Re: Xbox Backup Creator Read Start Button is Greyed Out. Help! on: February 09, 2009, 06:05:05 AM
Okay, can you see the DVD drive in My Computer ?

If not,  goto device manager and make sure that Windows finds the drive ?? (Start, Control Panel, System, Hardware, Device Manager)

If your drive is showing a little ! next to it, try right clicking and enabling the drive.

Past that, TBH i cant help much, but welcome anyway and don't put yourself down, as you read around, you'll see even "experts" can get stuck sometimes, we all need help once in a while.

If your running the USB connection from your extractor or whatever, try the serial port instead.

Got bitten by that one on someone elses machine with a Maximus

Whenever you power cycled, it froze, on the COM port, perfect.

I agree with the last 2, a blaster, although a good IDEA...

How often do you need to flash your drive ? Once or once a week ?

Unless you wish to use the console to rip games, an extreme waste of resources.... (as already said.)

39  Xbox1 (original) / Xbox1 Support / Re: xbox1.6b what can i do with 2 usb ports?please someone answer? on: January 20, 2009, 06:47:52 AM
VGA on a 1.6 is not supported.. but AFAIK the mouse and KB will work in XBMC.

Its only USB 1, not USB 2 ie. a total data speed of 12Mbps not the 480Mbps of USB2.

Or in pure English, its the slow type of USB, not the HighSpeed one...
40  Xbox1 (original) / Xbox1 Support / Re: xbox1.6b what can i do with 2 usb ports?please someone answer? on: January 19, 2009, 07:06:54 PM
Use a recent enough build of XBMC and it should support your USB Stick and let you copy to and from.

And let you use a mouse and/or keyboard.
