Gave up - tried IMGBurn and can't get the disc drive reconized.

I think within the command line you put in where it is. For desktop I don't know where that is but in Ubuntu it was like /usr/lib/desktop/xbox360gamehere.iso or something liek that So it would be like

growisofs -use-the-force-luke=dao -use-the-force-luke=break:1913760 -dvd-compat -speed=2 -Z /dev/cdrom=/usr/lib/XBOX360GAMEHERE.iso

Or just move your iso to the root of your hard drive I think.

Or get wine configured in linux and you can run imgburn.

Tried that and still the same error.  IMGBurn gives too much trouble with CD/DVD drives.

I'm using the Mandriva distro.  I tried this:
Quote
growisofs -use-the-force-luke=dao -use-the-force-luke=break:1913760 -dvd-compat -speed=2 -Z /dev/cdrom=XBOX360GAMEHERE.iso

I get:
Quote
:-( unable to open64("XBOX360GAMEHERE.iso",O_RDONLY): No such file or directory): No such file or directory

I'm sure I've done something wrong, I've not burnt a 360 under Linux before and I am new to Linux itself, I've always used IMGBURN + XP.  Where would I store XBOX360GAMEHERE.iso, it's on my desktop currently?

Ahh, thanks for the speedy reply changing the packets thus breaking encrytion?

That's all.
6  Xbox 360 / Xbox 360 General Discussion / Alter data from XBOX360 to XBL Servers? on: November 23, 2007, 10:36:08 AM
This has been talked about before however never been sucessful.  I was looking for an educated reasons why this wouldn't work.

Packets from the XBOX360 could be routed through a computer then to the XBL servers.  The computers job is to get the serial and replace it with another or perhaps a simple on-the-fly find and replace there would have to be little/no delay.  Basically the 360 would connect to LIVE all data would be trapped by the computer ... the serial key (12345678-1234) would be altered to (98765432-1234) and then sent off to LIVE all replies would be routed back to the 360. (no ip headers or addresses would be changed)

It's possible to packet sniff and see serial keys, is there a reason why it's never worked?  Any serial keys being sent from XBL to the XBOX360 would be changed back to the perhaps banned console serial.

Didn't someone say there was no proof that banning is done by NO-DVD errors, what happened to unplugging the video cable (4 red lights)?

I'm sure it's much safer to use external though.
8  Xbox 360 / XboxHacking - General / Re: Well...I just guinea pigged it for you guys on: May 26, 2007, 05:20:54 PM
So are there going to be any pros and cons with the different drives/FW's since all the DVD5 stuff, etc was taken out.  For example with the new iXtreme FW will there be a difference running it on a MS28, MS25, H79k (or whatever) are any superior in anyway?
