I'm getting more and more spooked with all these 'leakers', so I started making my own backups after I got myself the right drive.

I swear, one of these days, Microsoft is going to leak a Trojan Horse into the scene and toast all the people who use them, users who own originals or otherwise.

I never had any problems with the Kreon Bug on any of my backups.

If I make sure all of them are without bugs, is there any reason to update my firmware to 1.4? Is there any extra safety to be gained by doing so, even if all my backups are properly ripped?

I was under the impression that it only masked the fact that you have buggy rips.

I'm seeing conflicting reports about this, so I'm hoping to get a more accurate answer here:

Does the EX (not the old 360 version) work?

I keep reading things about rails, how the power stolen puts strains on the components, or how the fans work against the 360's own fans and eventually crap out everything, etc.

Are any of these true? I've had mine for about 4 months and haven't seen anything bad happen to my 360 so far.

My 360 does seem noticeably cooler, but again, that may just be me trying to justify my purchase.

Question: If I've only played online with a backed up Xbox 1 game (Halo2), but have signed on while other back ups have been in place, should I be safe if I use my originals?

It doesn't seem likely that all consoles logged into live would be checked - only those using their disc to play multiplayer.

Microsoft made a comment stating that it's "unfair" to OTHER players if a console is modified. If one were to stay outside of gaming and keep to single-player, it might be that they did not check.

That said, can MS detect unstealthed Xbox 1 games?

That's just about all I've played online with.

EDIT: If I'm NOT banned, is it possible to get a Samsung and spoof it to my old 78fk with its key? Seems like it would show the same to MS.

So wait - you have never been on Live since before the update, and then patched back to your original, and then went back on live and got the update and got banned?

If this is true, then it means that data collection occurred before the May Update and we're all screwed no matter what we do.

Anyone else like the above?

Hitachi 0078fk - Toolbox 3.0 - No Disk Jitter Check Prevention - Flashed in March

Status: Unknown, and not about to check.

My 360 hasn't been connected to the internet since May 3rd, so I haven't been exposed to the Spring Update.

Is there anyone who:

1.)Hasn't updated his firmware to the Jitter Fix sets
2.) AND does not have the dashboard update

that has flashed back to originals and tested?
