the problem would likely be memory.. look at halo 2, that doesn't even run with the debug bios cause the debug process uses up just a few kb of RAM. so lots of games would probably stop working if you ran a http and/or ftp in memory as well.

you can solder directly to the traces (after removing the green protective layer), and bridge the defective part with a wire, but your soldering iron may be too hot or your skill not good enough, so you might end up damaging more of the trace.. so if in doubt, have someone with better equipment fix it. it definitely is fixable.

of course it's rubbish. they don't even make 500 GB 2.5" HDDs. and the pictures are stolen from anandtech's xbox360 disassembly guide. edit: look at his feedback.. last guy bought that thing and gave negative feedback saying it's a scam.

that wouldn't do you any good since the emulator couldn't be executed without a mod.
and an hour? this isn't a service board, people respond whenever they feel like it, it's not uncommon to not get an answer for a day or so.

Too true!!!! just like back in the day whenn all the modchip companys were tryin to sell chips with flashing lights and bells when a flash on the tsop was the same result just without the 32 wires hangin off the board and with out the sticker sayin "IVE GOT A MOD CHIP" uh, just FYI, "back then" a tsop flash wasn't even possible without installing a mochip first.

there's a cromwell with multiple embedded eeproms that can flash the eeprom to work again, however that shouldn't be needed in this case. ntsc-j will always blackscreen, even if the TV is ntsc capable. load up the enigmah videomode changer CD and hit A or B, then reboot and you should have a picture again.
