4721  Xbox1 (original) / Xbox1 Support / Re: A friend are having a problem with FTP !!! on: January 19, 2007, 01:01:21 AM
that's downright idiotic. what if the guy uses ICS? changing the IP will f*** that up. what if he uses a router? changing the IP may f*** up his internet connection if the router is on a different IP range.
I really suggest you refrain from giving people tips as the ultimate, universal solution, only because it works in your enviroment.
4722  Xbox1 (original) / Xbox1 Support / Re: A friend are having a problem with FTP !!! on: January 19, 2007, 12:25:44 AM
why f*** around with BOTH IPs? it's completely sufficient to only change the IP of the xbox.
4723  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / Re: Power button not working on: January 19, 2007, 12:21:55 AM
you can always start and turn off a 360 using the controller or remote.
4724  Research & Technical XboxHacking (Xbox 360) / Software (TECHNICAL) / Re: crazy idea auto brute forcer? on: January 19, 2007, 12:21:03 AM
what you are talking about would take a couple of hundred years to complete.
4725  Xbox1 (original) / Xbox1 Support / Re: A friend are having a problem with FTP !!! on: January 18, 2007, 01:58:36 PM
don't double post please.
you can use ANY IP in the same range, i.e. 192.168.0.99.
4726  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / Re: American 360 mother board will it work with uk drive on: January 18, 2007, 01:57:56 PM
on the MB. as said about a million times.
4727  Xbox1 (original) / Xbox1 Support / Re: A friend are having a problem with FTP !!! on: January 18, 2007, 01:11:54 PM
then it can't work. you have to change the IP on the xbox or the PC.
in evox it's easier and faster to change, just go to the settings and change it, save, and reboot.
4728  Xbox1 (original) / Xbox1 Support / Re: A friend are having a problem with FTP !!! on: January 18, 2007, 12:00:55 PM
the PC has to have an IP in the same range, i.e. if the box has 192.168.1.1, the PC has to have 192.168.1.2 (or .3, .99, etc)
4729  Xbox 360 / Xbox 360 "Modding" / Re: stable 12V for leds on: January 18, 2007, 11:59:48 AM
right off the power supply connection then.
4730  Research & Technical XboxHacking (Xbox 360) / Hard Disk / Re: HDD Upgrade on: January 18, 2007, 11:59:28 AM
direct connection.
4731  Xbox 360 / XboxHacking - General / Re: Burger King single layer backups -- why do they work? on: January 18, 2007, 09:39:12 AM
cause the games are both xbox 1 and xbox 360 compatible and you are most likely playing the xbox 1 game that way.
4732  Xbox 360 / XboxHacking - General / Re: How can i check how my Xbox has been Modified! on: January 18, 2007, 12:22:16 AM
there's no region hack for the 360 and won't be until the system is fully hacked.
4733  Xbox1 (original) / Xbox1 Support / Re: PAL Xbox Unknown Mod Chip on: January 17, 2007, 01:10:24 PM
no, it's 256 kb.
4734  Xbox1 (original) / Xbox1 Support / Re: PAL Xbox Unknown Mod Chip on: January 17, 2007, 12:35:41 AM
it's an old version of the evox bios. I think that version couldn't handle HDs over 137 GB yet, so if yours is bigger, you will need to flash to either evox m8 bios, or the xecuter bios.
4735  Xbox1 (original) / Xbox1 Support / Re: F#cked PSU on: January 17, 2007, 12:32:50 AM
the problem is, if something else was the reason why the fuse blew in the first place, this time around there would be nothing to stop it and it could blow up the PSU.. more or less literally, exploding big caps are NOT fun.
4736  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / Re: Using an External HD to watch videos, listen to mp3s etc. on: January 16, 2007, 12:31:08 AM
the HD has to be formatted in fat32, ntfs doesn't work.
4737  Xbox1 (original) / Xbox1 Support / Re: help PAL/NTSC/NTSC-J on: January 15, 2007, 05:23:13 PM
it should be the one of that same box. otherwise if it's softmodded, you can't use the HD anymore, unless it was locked in an app like evox or configmagic. and even if you unlock it, the box will not boot anymore cause it can't load from an unlocked HD, so you would have to find a way to lock the HD with the new key (from the new eeprom) first.

the driver IC usually has a heatspreader pad on top that is supposed to lead the heat to the drive casing. did you possibly lose that?
4739  General / Junkyard/Sewer/Dumpster/Landfill / Re: Problem with Ninja Gaiden 360's version.plz help! on: January 15, 2007, 03:35:17 PM
malaysian? are you sure that's not a pressed pirated copy? because that could cause it. the region error means just that, wrong region. it could actually be an EU or JP copy with the wrong cover. there's nothing else that could cause the error.
4740  Xbox1 (original) / Xbox1 Support / Re: help PAL/NTSC/NTSC-J on: January 15, 2007, 01:06:37 PM
if you have the backup of the eeprom that came with the MB, that will work of course.. I am talking about Rogero's suggestion to flash a generic eeprom.. which will also break live compatibility, btw.
