did you switch videomodes by chance? switching to ntsc-J will cause a black screen. you can boot the enigmah videomode changer DVD and press A or B to switch the mode to either PAL or NTSC blindly, try that.

it does NOTHING. it locks up the console. end of story. nothing boots. no psx, no ps2, no ps3 games.

there isn't reallly much you can do except sending it to MS. I assume you checked your videocable already.

you can't. it's on the flash, encrypted and all. however usually, if the system files were corrupted, you'd either get an error message or the system would not turn on at all.

unplug the HD. if it still doesn't boot, the issue isn't with the HDD. and the system is NOT on the HDD.

eh, no. you can't install ANYTHING on 360 at this time, and even if you could, the codecs would have to be ported one by one to work.

for at least 3 or 4 updates, my exploit 360 always tried to update when I hooked up my HDD with an update.
they will NOT ban anything for swapping HDDs, the swapping is a feature of the HDD and sold as such.

you wouldn't get a working stealth image with converting, so ripping from your originals is the only feasible way.

if you downloaded an update, it stays on the HDD so you can update another 360 without downloading again.

again, it depends entirely on the drive. if there's a samsung in it, you can flash it as usual. if it's a 78 hitachi, just flash. if it's a 79 hitachi, no way around key/modding. if it's a benq, you're out of luck right now.
