punkt is german and means "period" or "full stop".
3842  Xbox 360 / XboxHacking - General / Re: Which SATA to USB Adapter? on: January 26, 2008, 11:03:30 AM
iprep uses mtkflash, which is DOS only, so it will not work for that.
3843  Xbox 360 / XboxHacking - General / Re: anyone have king kong demo downloaded from live? on: January 26, 2008, 08:17:20 AM
considering the demos are in one signed package, there's no way to access and modify the shaders.
3844  General / General Discussion (non-Xbox) / Re: When the going gets tough..... on: January 25, 2008, 07:47:32 PM
you don't need the PIC if you are using the infectus.
3845  Xbox 360 / XboxHacking - General / Re: Quick Question about iDGTool; wheres the anykey? on: January 25, 2008, 02:30:34 PM
20cm is pretty long, you might get interferences from that. generally it should start attempting to downgrade, though.. either the addon doesn't have good contact to the points on the infectus, you miswired something or you are not using the right version of the software (0.3.8 beta 2) with the addon code (not homebrew).

ear buds for the fine work, a normal tissue will do for the top, and use alcohol, it helps a lot in getting it off.
3847  Xbox 360 / Xbox 360 General Discussion / Re: Laptop Cooler on: January 23, 2008, 06:33:44 PM
the clamps do, but since heat rises, the clamps don't actually warm up.
there's not much cooling the bottom will do, if you want more cooling, you'll have to do it at the top, preferably inside by transporting more heat away from the heatsinks.
3848  Xbox 360 / XboxHacking - General / Re: How do I convert old games to Ixtreme compatable ones nOOb on: January 23, 2008, 11:57:39 AM
make a new, full backup from your original. that's the only safe way.
3849  General / Junkyard/Sewer/Dumpster/Landfill / Re: to all hackers.. Pls help me...... on: January 23, 2008, 10:45:17 AM
no, you're not a filipino. you're a truebred idiot.
3850  Xbox 360 / Xbox 360 General Discussion / Re: Laptop Cooler on: January 23, 2008, 10:43:18 AM
the benefit would at best be tiny, since the metal shield doesn't have much of a heatspreader effect in the first place. the MB is hovering above the metal case, not contacting it directly.

you most definitely did not find a single thread discussing illegal, downloaded games.
3852  Xbox 360 / XboxHacking - General / Re: xbox live and firmware --> n00b question on: January 23, 2008, 10:41:06 AM
considering a thread on this very topic was answered to not even 2 hours before you posting, you can't have searched very hard. check the "Clarification..." topic.

if you have such a big problem with him making money off his work, why don't you write a free software with 79 support?
3854  Xbox 360 / Xbox 360 General Discussion / Re: Defective controller on: January 20, 2008, 11:39:54 PM
I have redone all solder spots on the related traces, as far as I could follow it, they're all good. from what I can see the only missing spot left would be on the chip itself, but I can't see anything wrong on those either.
3855  Xbox 360 / XboxHacking - General / Re: Schtrom "Image Type: Unknown" ?, (under stealth checking)... on: January 20, 2008, 05:15:08 PM
bad dump then, that's not a valid size.
3856  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / Re: Help needed flashing BENQ on: January 20, 2008, 01:31:05 PM
if it gets stuck at that point, you probably didn't unplug the drive at the right time or plugged it in at the right time.
3857  Xbox 360 / XboxHacking - General / Re: Project started: rebooting into an(y) unsigned kernel + hypervisor on: January 19, 2008, 07:32:55 PM
There's two theories: one is that the emulator actually contains a list of disk IDs, the other that it checks what libraries and functions are used by the game, and runs only if all are supported.
the problem with patching would be that the game would very likely crash, because MS usually does check if the games work or not, and if not, they don't get added to the list.
3858  Xbox 360 / Xbox 360 General Discussion / Defective controller on: January 19, 2008, 05:15:33 PM
I got a controller here where up/down stopped working on the right stick after it fell down.. the potentiometer is working fine (I measured the changes in resistance) and the connections are good, I see no missing components either.. anyone see this kinda issue before? or maybe even got an idea which pin on the controller chip is responsible for this poti?
3859  Xbox 360 / Xbox 360 General Discussion / Re: Xbla games linked with both hard drive and console on: January 19, 2008, 03:46:21 PM
then you can still use it while you are connected to live.
3860  Xbox 360 / Xbox 360 General Discussion / Re: Xbla games linked with both hard drive and console on: January 19, 2008, 02:17:31 PM
are you an idiot or something?
the games are backed up on MS' servers. if your console fries under warranty and is sent in, MS will transfer your downloaded games to the new console or return the points for them.
there is no need for a backup.
