2741  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / Re: Switching DVD drives on: November 26, 2008, 12:06:33 AM
switching drives will do NOTHING for you. they check the game disks, not the firmware.
2742  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / Re: Computer reads the hdd, 360 doesn't... on: November 25, 2008, 04:44:22 PM
there is an issue on certain chipsets where there's an extra space after the model or serial number that does not get transferred. try flashing it on another PC.
2743  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / Re: can you use a external hard drive with the xbox360 on: November 25, 2008, 02:04:29 PM
you can only use external drives to store movies, pics and mp3s on.
2744  Xbox 360 / Xbox 360 General Discussion / Re: NXE and Games on: November 25, 2008, 12:48:29 PM
it will not.

and yes, the drive stops spinning.
2745  Research & Technical XboxHacking (Xbox 360) / Hard Disk / Re: Dumping the hddss.bin Using a Connectivity Kit HDD Adapter! on: November 25, 2008, 12:32:34 AM
yes, it is, using xplorer360.
2746  Xbox 360 / XboxHacking - General / Re: Burned Lite-On drive by inserting in the 360 power connector upside-down on: November 25, 2008, 12:31:35 AM
in my liteon experiments, it would only work if you used the eject button to eject the drive, the manual eject did not get it into the "dumping mode".
2747  Xbox 360 / Xbox 360 General Discussion / Re: Shocking news of the new fall dashboard on: November 24, 2008, 03:15:18 PM
games that will support them either are released with support already or in case of some arcade games, will need an update. other games will not support them in any way, so don't expect to get to play cod4 with avatars.
2748  Research & Technical XboxHacking (Xbox 360) / DVD-ROM Drive and Media / Re: DVD Drive missing... on: November 24, 2008, 03:12:15 PM
no. to run linux, you need to have a working drive with valid key.
if you don't have the key, it is impossible to get it without having the drive that belonged to the console.
2749  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / Re: Xbox 360 doesn't boot, no error on: November 24, 2008, 03:11:30 PM
if you didn't heatgun it, you didn't fix it. you still have broken solder balls. they may be close enough together right now that the brief warming up you get from the first "bad" boot is enough to make them connect next time you start it up (since the board and solder expands when warmed).
2750  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / Re: Xbox 360 doesn't boot, no error on: November 24, 2008, 02:07:43 PM
about to RROD, you'll have to heatgun and x-clamp again.
2751  Xbox 360 / XboxHacking - General / Re: Burned Lite-On drive by inserting in the 360 power connector upside-down on: November 24, 2008, 01:18:43 PM
that usually means you didn't do the halfways eject properly. it might not work at all for you if your drive doesn't eject.
2752  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / Re: Wierd firmware flashing problem on: November 23, 2008, 09:31:12 PM
I seriously doubt they added any kind of new security for a drive that hasn't even been used in the 360 in years anymore by them.
2753  Xbox 360 / Xbox 360 General Discussion / Re: Help please download divx codec xbox 360 on: November 23, 2008, 09:29:47 PM
and if you can't use live, then you can't get the divx codec, end of story.
2754  Xbox 360 / XboxHacking - General / Re: Burned Lite-On drive by inserting in the 360 power connector upside-down on: November 23, 2008, 09:28:53 PM
if the controller chip got fried during that, then you have no way anymore.
2755  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / Re: Reading / Flashing problem (ms25) on: November 23, 2008, 01:52:33 PM
if it's already flashed, it no longer is a MS25, but acts as a MS28. Which means you have to perform the 10 second trick to flash it, which you can't with that chipset. You'll need a via card.
2756  Research & Technical XboxHacking (Xbox 360) / DVD-ROM Drive and Media / Re: In this scenario what else do I need to change the xbox360 drive? on: November 23, 2008, 01:42:18 PM
yeah, that works.

ah. you should've just told us that you are a f***ing idiot incapable of reading or using such incredibly complicated devices as a search function.
but, helpful as we are, we'll stop you from "clicking in circles" now.
2758  Xbox 360 / Tech Support 360 / Re: System Error E80 after NXE update on: November 23, 2008, 10:20:55 AM
it has been said above that it does work.
2759  Xbox 360 / XboxHacking - General / Re: Newbee here.I have a 4/2008 X360 Elite.Do i change it for a old flashable one?Or on: November 23, 2008, 10:20:16 AM
you can buy a replacement drive, dump the key from the liteon and flash the replacement drive. there's enough tutorials on how to do it.
2760  Xbox1 (original) / Xbox1 Support / Re: How to Swap a bricked Hitachi 46DH to TOSHIBA SAMSUNG TS-H943 MS25 on: November 23, 2008, 10:19:05 AM
just look at any flash tutorial for the samsung. you will have to dump the key from the hitachi and flash it into the samsung.
