I'm pretty sure this was asked before, but I failed to find it in the search engine. How hard would it be to create a device to emulate the 360 DVD-rom while using a HDD to store the games, much like a mp3 player or request data through network? How hard is it to emulate the part before the SATA controller of the DVD drive?



I'm not sure how far fetched this is, maybe not far fetched at all, who knows. But given the price of HDDs, 100 bucks for a 320, I would much rather have some 3 drives for xbox360 games, than 100 DVD9.
